Chapter 3

CALISTA NARRATION QUOTE:

"A few years went by, by now we're officially 4 year olds. Mizuki and me ultimately met up everyday and we talked about what had happened to us each day.
Surprisingly no visit from either of our parents has been heard of. I guess they probably truly forgot about us."

In the garden surrounded by flowers of different colors sits Mizuki and Calista making flower crowns.

"Hey, Mizy"

"Yea?"

"Do you think the Emperor and Empress truly forgot about us?"

"Well it seems like it. I guess they have better things to do rather then taking care of us."

"It would've been nice to at least have the Emperor visit us for our birthday.."

"Eh just forget about him, it's his loss that he doesn't care to see us."

"Yea, that's true.."

Mizuki and Calista talked telepathically. Soon it was time for them to leave back to their palace.

"Princess Calista, we have to go back to the Hasisveth palace now."

"Oh, alright Marie!"

A few more months go by, still no word of the Emperor or Empress was heard of.

Inside the Hasisveth palace was Marie standing next to Calista who was sitting while she played with her stuffed dolls.

"Marie?"

"Yes Princess..?"

"Does his majesty the Emperor care about me and Mizuki?"

"Of course his highness does! His highness cares so dearly about you two that he even named you both!"

"Oh, right.."

After Marie and Calista talked, Calista just looked down on the ground with a sadden expression.

The next day.

Out on the garden, sat Mizuki and Calista with flowers surrounding them.

"Mizy?"

"Yea?"

"Do you want to run away when we're older?"

"Sure, I was already planning that from the start anyways"

"I'm scared, that SHE will arrive soon."

"Eh, as long as we have each other that Portia what's her name won't harm you."

"Yea, thanks Mizy"

Calista and Mizuki kept playing with the flowers, with both of them happily playing with each other.

Soon around a 5 minute walk away from both twin siblings, was the Empress who was a holding a bright-pink colored umbrella on her hand, with a long Magenta-pink colored dress reaching down on her red-dark colored heels.
While in the garden the Empress was admiring the rose-pink colored rose flowers, until noticing one dark-pink colored flower.

"Carter, what kind of disgrace is this..?"

"Ah, your Highness I apologize, I shall order the knights to bring the gardener and he shall receive harsh punishment."

"Hm, well we could deal with that later."

"Your royal Highness, I'm not sure if your aware but their highnesses Princess Calista and Prince Mizuki are both in the garden playing together."

"Huh. Two pests entered my territory..?"

"Yes, would you like me to remove them from the premises?"

"No need, it's such luck to see them. Better yet I'll go see them myself"

The Empress, Deirdre Renitz and her loyal butler, Carter walk towards where Calista and Mizuki were playing at.
Suddenly a whirl of goosebumps flowed within Mizuki and Calista's body's.

"C-cali?"

"M-mizy?"

"She's right behind you!"

In a dash Calista quickly turned around only for her face to fully turn pale along with Mizuki.

"May the power of Anastasia the Goddess of Light forever shine brighter towards her highness"

Marie and Dion both said at the same time as they kept their heads down towards Empress .

"Hm? This must be the Mizuki and Calista the Emperor had named, am I correct Carter?"

"Your words are absolute."

Carter said with a smile on his face while standing behind the Empress, Deirdre.

"My, look at them. I didn't expect them to grow so quickly, or even survive this long."

Deirdre had said with a smirky expression as though wanting to laugh on her face and her voice as cold as though a thirst to kill.

Calista and Mizuki kept their head down, full of fear just trembling while holding each other's hand.

"M-mizuki?"

"Y-yes?"

"Wasn't Deirdre supposed to meet us on our fifth birthday like in the novel...?"

"Y-yes. But why the hell is she here...?!!"

"T-that's what I'm confused about."

Mizuki and Calista talked to each other telepathically while still holding back tears in their eyes, and gripping each others hands on the ground as they stayed on their knees, bowing towards the Empress.

"So do you both talk?"

Deirdre says as though bored, unentertained. Mizuki and Calista then become shook about the question with more fear running down on them.

"Uh, Mizy could talk."

"Y-yes, Cali also talks."

"Mizy and Cali? Sounds more like pet names."

"Hehe"

Both Mizuki and Calista give a weary small giggle as they look at Deirdre with fear but putting up a fake smile.

"Marie, Dion."

"Yes your royal highness?"

Both respond to the Empress quickly.

"Bring Mizuki and Calista to my palace garden tomorrow at noon."

"Yes your highness."

Marie and Dion respond immediately while still having their head down.

"Well I'm off now. See you both tomorrow."

The Empress leaves with a darkened face, but an evilish smile on her eyes, as her emerald eyes shone with no glow, just empty. Carter follows behind.

After the Empress left far from the garden, Mizuki and Calista both let out a loud sigh of relief along with an expression as though sick.

"Mizy?"

"Yea?"

"Do you-"

"Uh-huh"

After they stopped talking telepathically they were ready to let out everything.

"GUH."

Both siblings had said at the same time as they threw up every fearful feelings they had inside of them.

"YOUR HIGHNESSES!!"

Marie and Dion had both yelled out in utter concern.
