Chapter 4

Today is the day. Me and Mizuki have to face the deeming Empress herself, Deirdre.

"Your highness, today is such a lovely day! And you'd be able to see Prince Mizuki and her highness today!"

"Mhm."

Calista mumbled as she and Marie were on their way to where the Empress was located.

Calista wearing a dark blue dress with sunflower designs all over her dress with the middle of her dress being the only spot with a curly design, her hair loose with her front bangs moved in the sides with a flower pin on each side.

Soon they arrived.

Mizuki was sitting on a chair facing towards the Empress while another chair was placed in between them.

Mizuki wearing a white collared long sleeve shirt with a buttoned up dark blue long sleeve vest ontop, wearing a gray short reaching his knees with white long stockings also reaching his knees.

Marie puts down Calista standing. Calista quickly runs over to Mizuki and grips his hand as though scared while looking down on the ground with a pale face.

"Carter, place Calista's chair next to her brother."

"Yes your Majesty."

Soon Calista was sitting down side to side with Mizuki.

"Mizy, Did anything happen while I was on my way here?"

"Nope, I had just arrived a minute before you came, luckily I had just sat down the moment you arrived."

Mizuki and Calista spoke to each telepathically as they just looked down on the table in front of them.

"Bring the food."

"Yes your majesty"

A whole feast was set down on the table, a big roasted chicken in the middle of the table with plates of different variety of foods surrounding it.

"Are you two not satisfied with the food?"

"Ah, Yes! Mizy and Cali really like the food, haha.."

Mizuki gives out a small laugh with an uncomfortable smile.

Mizuki, scared to touch his fork gives a small glance towards Calista who was sitting next to him. He just saw Calista eating as though she were a machine, putting food in her mouth, chewing, swallowing and repeat while just staring straight down on her food.

"Cali? How is the food..?"

"Mmm, I dunno, I'm just chewing and swallowing. But I guess it does taste good."

Calista and Mizuki spoke telepathically while they both were just in an fearful state.

"As you both eat here, do you know who your face to face with?"

"Oh."

Mizuki and Calista  both said at the same time telepathically. Calista then drops her fork. Both then look up and stare at the Empress with fearful sweat running on their face's and their face's turning pale with trembling in their body.

"Mizy, what do we do??!!"

"Eh um j-just say something. I don't know!"

Telepathically the twins were panicking inside their thoughts.

"O-of course we know! Y-your Mother, haha.."

Calista said with a freaked out expression inside herself but still giving a smile towards the Empress.

"Mother..? MOTHER??? Out of all things I could've said, I said MOTHER??!! Mizy please help me!!"

Calista glances towards Mizy while she spoke to him telepathically. She then saw Mizy with a scared expression on his face looking down.

"M-mizy?"

Quickly Mizuki puts his head up, his eyes tightly shut with a smile on his face. He then spoke outloud.

"Y-yes, your Mama!"

"EEEEEK"

Calista yelled to herself with her face shocked just staring straight towards Mizuki.

"MIZUKI!! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING???"

"Please end me"

Mizuki spoke to Calista telepathically with him looking straight ahead towards the Empress with the same smile on his face but a tear being held back on the side of his eye faced next to Calista.

"Hm. Well I should head back to do my duties. Marie and Dion send Mizuki and Calista back to their palace when they are finished. I'll send a letter regarding their next visit with me."

Mizuki and Calista look up quickly at the Empress with a face of shock, they become even more surprised as they see a small smile on the Empress's face.

The Empress wearing a red dress with an emerald necklace and a pair of white gloves on her hands leaves the dining room. Everything becomes quiet.

"D-did, that really..."

"Just happen..?"

Both Mizuki and Calista told each other.

"Mm, hm, wa, WAAAAAHH!!!!"

Mizuki and Calista said outloud, in sync as they let out their tears run out from all the fear they were holding in. They then hugged each other while Marie and Dion tried calming them down.
