Chapter 10

Inside of Mizuki's palace, in the audience room sat Luke, Calista, and Mizuki face to face with a couch on the left and right and a chair in the middle where Mizuki sat with a table holding sweets and tea on it.

"Luke when did you come back?? And what the heck is with this child-like form??"

Calista asked Luke who sat in front of her nibbling sweets.

"Well first of all, I'm in this form because most of my mana power replenished meaning I'll have to stay stuck growing up with you two, what a pain."

"Hmm, not going to lie, that form does fit you haha"

"Ugh, anyways, I came back to save you. To be honest I wasn't going to come just for your sake but I did because why not. It's kinda boring doing nothing in this world, but now that you two are here things are going to get interesting."

"Interesting..? How?"

"Hm, Mizuki might have an idea."

Calista then turns to Mizuki as he suddenly stops eating his cookie and looks at Calista with a nervous expression.

"Ah, what Luke is trying to say is, he is interested in us because erm, uh he maybe, knows about our past life.."

"WHAT??!!"

Calista quickly jumps up when Mizuki finishes speaking. She then turns and looks at Luke.

"HOW THE HELL DO YOU KNOW THAT?? AND HOW OLD ARE YOU ANYWAYS??"

"Hmm, didn't I tell you before? I'm interested because of that. I'm a magican and the strongest not to flatter myself, I could burn this Empire down to ruins in a few seconds, that's how strong I am. And about my age, just think of me as your age."

"Gah of course you wouldn't easily tell us. Hey um, did you see a specific novel..?"

"Novel? What Novel?"

"ERM NOTHING! Haha-"

"Anyways, your powers are useful, since you both hold the power of the Emperor and of the Elf Clan, pretty rare in my opinion."

"Oh, so that orange thing was Elf power..?"

"Yea, Mizuki also has it but a bit less since he has most of the Emperor's power."

"What about you Luke?"

"Eh I don't like to talk much about myself."

"Gah, so you just like gaining knowledge huh."

"Well something like that."

Later that night...

In the dark room of Mizuki sat Mizuki and Luke in a chair next to a window.

"Thanks for not telling her, Luke."

"Oh yea sure, it's nothing big really, I could've told her and it wouldn't make a difference ya know."

"I know, but I can't let Deirdre start to worry her if Calista found out."

"Jeez are all siblings like this?"

"Um Luke, thanks, for everything"

"Hmm? What's wrong with you saying all this? Thats kinda weird."

"Luke, I'll entrust you my sister"

"Haa the things I do for you. Now I have a job, jeez. Your lucky we're friends, I wouldn't do this for just anyone ya know."

"Yea, that's right, friends."

Mizuki looking down on his clenched hands, Luke just stares at him in confusion.

"Jeez why the long face? Why are you always like this? Jeez you haven't changed one bit, Mizuki."

"Luke, if anything happens to me, look after my sister for me, alright?"

"Jeez what're you blabbering about now? Of course nothing is going to happen since I'm here. Jeez why do you always speak so down. Anyways, you really are full of bad luck aren't you? The first time you just had bad luck, the second was giving up, now that your both back what'll happen now. I wonder.."

"It really was pure luck that I met you here."

"Sure, I guess."

The Next day...

In the garden stood Mizuki and Luke while Calista walks towards them, only to stop walking as she looks in confusion.

"Mizuki?! What is this dumb butt doing in our secret place?!!"

Calista yells out as she runs towards them and stops in front of them.

"Dumb butt? You little brat! Just to let you know, Mizuki told me to come!"

Luke told Calista.

"GAH! Shut it dumb butt!"

"Hey, sis calm down. Like he said I did tell him to come, because the Emperor assigned him as our playmate."

"WHAT?? This dork is our playmate??!! He's not even our age!"

"Pfft, as if your one to speak"

"YOU DORK! At least we're physically 4! Bleh!"

Calista sticks out her tongue at Luke

"Anyways- jeez already. "

Luke flicks Calista's forehead

"WHAT'RE YOU- eh, I feel lighter now. Hey what did you do just now?"

"Just had to make adjustments, jeez it's not a big deal."

Luke starts walking away from Calista

"HEY IDIOT WHAT DID YOU DO?"

"Jeez your loud."

"Jeez I'm saving her but all I get are complaints? I guess she'll feel that way everytime I take some magic away from her, ugh what a pain"

7 months Later...

Inside of Mizuki's palace, in the audience room, which has now turned into a play room is Mizuki and Calista and Luke, preping for the twins fifth birthday celebration.

"Luke! Luke! Luke!!"

"GAHH!! What do you want?!"

"Help me will ya"

"Help you?!!"

"Yea! I need to practice dancing hehe"

"Tell Mizuki that!"

"He's busy looking for our outfits! And plus he's helping plan the decorations, I was put to practice dancing as I can't do it well. Also! You could turn tall right! I'll need that practice for the dance with the Emperor!"

"Are you crazy?! It's exhausting having to turn into my original form!"

"So what?! You always look better after a few days of seeing me!"

"Well that's different!"

"GAH! Your such a meanie!"

"Fine here"

With the flick of his finger Luke creates a human paper of an adult height.

"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS? You expect me to practice with this??!!"

"Well what else? It's this or nothing"

"LUKE YOU IDIOT!!"

"Pfft."

Mizuki quietly reading at a corner let's out a small laugh, while watching Luke lying on the floor eating cookies, and controlling the human paper as Calista struggles to dance with it.
