Chapter 12

Six years went by since our fifth birthday, it's still unbelievable how Luke was able to save the Emperor. On the bright side the Emperor oh I mean Dad, spends more time with me and Mizuki whenever he's free! Luke is still an arrogant brat but it's still fun when he has to spend time with us. We are officially thirteen year olds.

Along a track inside the palace forest walks Luke and Calista in which Calista is struggling to keep up with Luke.

"L-Luke, Please...I feel like my legs are about to break!!"

"Hm?"

Luke who is walking ahead of Calista a few inches away turns around only to see Calista who has a side bun with a bow and with the rest of her long hair reaching her waist, and her long bright blue dress on the ground and her knees with her hands flat on the grassy ground.

"Haa, are you a princess or what?"

Luke who has short hair wearing a dark red cloak and black pants and turtle neck shirt asks Calista as she gasps on the floor.

"You dummy! It's not my fault you walk too quickly!! If you had told me that we were going to walk for a while, I wouldn't have worn heels!!"

"Tsk, I let you out since you were bored and this is how you treat me?"

"Bleh! You should-"

Before Calista was able to finish her sentence, Luke flicked his fingers, Calista all of a sudden was floating in the air right in front of Luke

"GAH! What're you doing Luke??!! Put me down you idiot!!"

"Jeez you complain to much, we already arrived anyways."

"Huh what do you-"

As Luke flicked his finger all the trees that stood in front of them all disappeared. The only thing standing was a tall glass building, inside it had dozen of different flowers and a silver table and four chairs in the middle of it.
Calista just stared at the building with her red eyes shining with amazement.

"L-Luke, what is this?"

"Eh well your father wanted me to do this for you. Something like how your going to have your debutant ball soon and he might've thought that you would want some other girls to talk to I guess. Pretty weird request if you ask me."

"Y-you made this..?"

"Mm yea, luckily the Emperor already had the space cleared out before he told me about it."

As Luke turned to his side to look at Calista he only saw her facing down with her face overshadowed

"Oh yea almost forgot"

Luke flicked his finger and Calista who was floating beside him then gently landed her two feet on the floor.
Calista then quickly turned to Luke and punched him in the arm.

"IDIOT!! I thought you weren't supposed to use much of your magic on 'big' things??!"

"GAH! That hurt!! Just so you know no one has ever punched me before!! I could've killed you for doing that!! Jeez...I started regaining my full powers back. I can do whatever I want but not go back to my normal form yet. I swear that really hurts my arm, jeez."

"Oh, is that so?"

Calista who was lost in her thoughts while looking at the glassy building then turned back to Luke who was still grabbing onto his arm that got punched. Calista then stood close to Luke's face while smiling.

"Thanks Luke! I knew you had a good side!"

"Of Course I do idiot!"

Luke then quickly backed away from Calista as Calista then started to admire the glassy building, Luke just covered his nervous expression on his face with his hand.

Inside of the glassy building sat Luke and Calista while eating snacks and tea.

"LUKE! I just remembered! Could you show me how to create money??"

"Money? What for?"

"Uh, em just incase I want to explore the village ehehe."

"Mm, sure but I don't think you'll be able to learn it quickly. Based on your skills on magic you suck. Even Mizuki learned how to control his magic before you."

"Guh, do you have to bully me each time when I talk about magic??!!"

As Calista was looking at Luke with an angry expression Luke who was eating a cookie suddenly dropped it on the table with a shock expression.

"Hm? Luke what's wrong?"

Calista just looks at Luke with a concerned expression while he is looking outside of the building.

"Hey, what're you looking at?"

As Calista turns her head to see who Luke is looking at, she suddenly starts trembling in fear as she sees Deirdre admiring red rose's on the path she and Luke took. Luke then turns back to look at Calista.

"Hey! Why are you shaking?"

"O-oh, it's just that, the last time I saw her three years ago, it ended badly..."

"I need to ask you something but in order to do that you need to stay calm. Let's go somewhere else."

With the flick of his finger Luke transported Calista and himself into the room they and Mizuki would usually meet up in, inside of Mizuki's palace. As they both were sitting on the couch face to face to eachother Luke just looked at Calista who had her hands clenched and was still shaking.

"Hey! Calm down, who was that women anyways?"

"Uh-oh, s-she's the Empress..."

"Empress...? But that doesn't make sense.."

"Huh?"

Calista who was confused by Luke's response then immediately stops trembling and looks at him straight in the eyes.

"What do you mean it doesn't make sense...?"

"Hmm, Haa how do I explain this. She doesn't contain any elf powers, something like that. You told me she was from the Elf clan and even your mana has some too but she has nothing."

"Wait, but how.. she's our mother..?"

"Mm, that's what I'm trying to figure out, was she always so...empty?"

"Empty? You mean power wise?"

"No, something like an empty shell, something as though she was dead all along."

Calista then shocks straight up, she stands up almost immediately as Luke finishes talking and looks at him with confusion towards his eyes.

"Mm, well aside from that, why does she look like that..."

As Luke speaks, he just stares down with an overshadowed face.

"Look, like that...?"

"She, reminds me of a dead person I used to know."

"A-are you trying to say, the person who took care of you before...?"

As Calista finishes her sentence Luke looks up at her with a shocked expression, while she looks at him with a nervous expression.

"How do you know that someone took me?"

"Oh, um it was just a hunch! Ehehehe.."

Calista who nervously laughs, then looks at Luke who is is staring down with an overshadowed face.

"She looks like her."

"H-huh?"

"She looks like the old Magican whom was praised, that taught me to control my powers."

"Magican..? You mean the first born with powers in this world??!!"

"Yea, that Empress what's her name kinda reminds me of that women, the so called Goddess Anastasia."
