Chapter 6

"KYAAA, BROTHER THAT'S SO COOL!!"

"GAH! Can you not internally scream!! It hurts my head when you scream telepathically!!"

"Ehehe, my bad. But still, it's such a beautiful color!! I didn't know your power had red fiery sparks! If I'm correct the Emperor has the same magic right?!"

"Mhm, guess I got his power, ha.."

"Don't be a party pooper!! You know he's super powerful! Maybe you'll be powerful too!"

"Gah I'm exhausted!"

Mizuki then falls to the grass and lays down with his face facing up to the sky. Calista sits next to Mizuki with her legs stretched out looking up at the sky aswell.

"Hey Mizuki?"

"What?"

"What kinda power would I have? I mean if it comes out that is."

"Eh who knows. Probably the Emperor's too since Deirdre doesn't have any as far as I know."

"Hoo.. I'm pathetic."

"Mm your not completely wrong but who knows you might get it if something activates it."

"Jeez you could've said it nicer!"

"The Emperor, huh."

"What? What are you thinking about?"

Calista looks down at Mizuki's face who is still staring at the sky. Suddenly a shock goes through their face's as they hear a glass cup shatter on the lower ground underneath the huge hill both Mizuki and Calista were resting at. Mizuki and Calista quickly sit next to each other while trying to see what's going on.

"M-Mizuki, is-isn't that.."

"Y-yes, it's Deirdre.. and The Emperor down there!"

"W-what the hell is going on..? They look pissed!"

Mizuki and Calista clenched each other's hands as they secretly watched what was going on. They could hear the conversation the Emperor and the Empress were having who both looked angry with eachother.

"EMPRESS! Didn't I tell you to not go out??!!"

"So what?! I could leave whenever I want! Just because I'm Empress it doesn't mean I can't have my enjoyment."

"Look here Deirdre, I let you keep Carter by your side regardless of the way he feels towards you! What more do you want to keep you in one place??!!"

"Hmm? Why my dear Emperor, it's just that your not satisfying me.."

"Why are you always like this??!! Not only did you trick me into marrying you but you still want more??!!"

As Mizuki and Calista heard what the Emperor had said their faces went completely pale, they were shocked at what they had just heard.

"Emperor, no.., Elric. Why don't you just enjoy yourself with me for a bit? Maybe I'll stop if you do."

A smirk went up in Deirdre's face.

"Deirdre. You know as well as myself that if it weren't for the kids, I would've had your head cut off by now."

"Ooh? Why Emperor, such murderous thoughts are running through your mind? How cruel of you."

Deirdre kept a satisfying smile on her face while Elric had an angry expression.

"You know as well as myself, that if it weren't for that incident I would've killed you before the kids were even born."

"Elric..."

Deirdre stared at Elric with the same smile on her face, as well as maintaining her laughter in while he was showing an irritated expression.

"You better stop playing around with other men. If I hear one more rumor about you, I won't hesitate to take down your position as Empress."

As Elric had told to Deirdre, he walked past her with his eyes glaring with anger towards her, his expression was pure murderous as he left Deirdre standing alone in the middle of the garden.

When Elric was out of sight, Mizuki and Calista were still pale, shock, but most of all, terrified. Terrified in knowing the fact that Elric could've killed them before they were even born.

Deirdre who was still in the same spot, smiling with a satisfied expression, looked up and stared straight at Mizuki and Calista in the eye. She smiled at them.
After that Deirdre left with a smirk stuck on her face as she walked back to her palace.

Calista and Mizuki started sobbing quietly, while hugging each other.

"Mizuki?"

"Mhm?"

"This, was never mentioned in the novel right?"

"No.."

Mizuki and Calista stopped crying, they quickly held each other's hands, they then looked at each other in the eye while sitting face to face. Their hope of being loved by the Emperor soon quickly dissolved as they stared at each other with their empty eyes.

"We can't trust anyone here..."

Both said in sync as their face's were overshadowed by their hair as they just looked down at the grass below them.
