David had returned back to the dorm with his mind in turmoil. Things were about to go down and he felt it in every step he took. He had called his girlfriend over for a minute as well. A sudden knock on the dorm door broke his train of thoughts. David went up and opened the door to find Veronica staring at him in worry. "What's up baby? What was so urgent?" David pulled his girlfriend in a tight hug and whispered a million apologies. "I need to tell you something."

Violet's pov:-
There was a weak knock on the door. I kept my current read aside and went up to see through the keyhole. It was Veronica. Why was she sobbing? I opened the door to find my soulmate in tears as she fell on my body heavily. "He is leaving..." She whispered. "Who is leaving baby?" I asked as I pulled her to my bed and patted her head. "David...David is leaving me."

I was stunned at her statement. David..you mean our David. Leaving Veronica? That's like next to impossible. "Are you sure about that babe?" I mustered up a question. "He got an internship offer in Canada. And his audacity to not even tell me once about this program he signed up for. I mean...why?" Veronica fell on my lap crying loudly. I felt tears rolling down my cheeks. I wasn't prepared for this. My best friend and David breaking up was like a news I never expected...

Why does this happen? I never knew why. But there is one thing for sure. When things like these happen, it makes the other two stronger. I want my soulmate to be strong. I wiped my tears and maneuvered Veronica to look at me.

"Baby listen to me. You're not alone. Hmm? We are gonna make it. If his relationship comes between his career, it's obvious for him to take such a step. Let him go. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, maybe not years later. But some day you would find the one who would actually make it right for you. Wait for him." I saw my friend nod at my statements. I knew Veronica since years. She wasn't the type to cry over things and let them hurt her even more. I understood that things were fragile right now. But she'd be fine. I'll make sure she'd be.

The next few hours we ended up cuddling against each other. All I had in my mind was...

Is this the fucking love we crave for?

No one's pov:-
A text was sent on the GC of the seven friends.

Seven Buds

David:
It would have been better
if I could say goodbye
properly. But here it is.
I'm sorry guys.
Love you. Bye.
Take Care.

David left Seven Buds

The moment everyone woke up, they saw this text and ran to Nathan's and David's room. They found Nathan crying on his bed. "Where the fuck did that asshole go?" Urban shouted. "You know where he went Urban. We couldn't stop him...." Nathan cried even more. Violet and Veronica were sobbing as they went to Nathan. The three hugged each other tightly. "I don't believe his daring ass. How the fuck does he think that he'd get rid of us huh?!" Morris grunted. "Mor...calm down please. It was his choice. It was his path. Let's just...let him go?" Skyler gulped as he felt his heart getting heavier. The other three boys joined the two girls and Nathan hugging. Everyone was tearing up at the feeling.

This wasn't as devastating as everyone thought it would be. But it was indeed heartbreaking.

It'd been a week since David had left. Nathan moved to a single person dorm room. Veronica wasn't in the state of taking care of her little feline. So Lucy was taken to her mom's place by her cousin. Violet wanted to meet the cousin but was caught up with her assignments. Morris got multiple letters from Kaage through Sora. But he simply ignored them. The recent one he got stated that Kaage was aware of the situation that the six friends were in. He even was concerned about the possible imbalance in the division of the five trinkets.

Veronica found her necklace beginning to rust a little. She was numb for a while. But understood the circumstances and decided to accept the things as they were. She didn't want to let such a thing affect her majorly. She wanted to help her friends in the mystery and even focus on her career. It was getting harder and harder for her to believe that reality but she decided to be strong. For herself. She needed to be strong.
