AN- Hey this is like my first time writing fanfic in like two years so plz give me a break if it's bad 😂 I also aged up some of the characters but this does still take place in 62!!

Y/N Y/M/N Y/L/N aka Bubbles or Bubs - 14 year old girl whose been through hell and back. Her parents died when she was 5, and was forced to move in with her Aunt Jay and Uncle Lee. Her uncle died two years ago and ever since then her aunt has physically and mentally abused her. Her life did a total 180 last summer though. Her Aunt Jay hurt her so bad that you had to go to the hospital. Benny found you lying on the floor, and he said to the doctors that you got mugged by some random man. You ended up having an ovarian apoplexy, cause she hit your stomach over and over, and a terrible concussion from hitting your head over and over. The ovarian apoplexy hit you hard because you had always wanted kids, and you cried an entire day when you heard the news. The doctor also told you that the concussion was bad enough that if you ever got too hot again that there's a good chance you will faint, so you always needed to be on lookout.

But one person helped you through all that bullshit. Benny. Your best friends Benny Rodriguez. He's been with you forever, and he will stay with you forever. Benny is your shoulder to cry in when your sad, and your favorite person. Heck you could keep him from the sandlot, but you never did you liked baseball just as much as he did. Although now you couldn't play as much because of your injury's. You are almost as good as Benny too.

Your dad played AA ball for the St.Louis Cardinals in Springfield before he got hurt, and came back home to you and your mom when you were one and half. From that moment on he taught you the game that he loved so very much, and you obtained the love too. Heck your dad helped Benny learn the game too. Endless nights in your back yard with your dad teaching you two to play catch. How you wish life could go back to that. You know it can't and you've came to terms with that. Now here you are years later ready to have a good summer.
