Your POV
I wake up to go get ready to go to the sandlot. When I open my eyes I see my aunt standing there. I freak out and move into the corner of my bed. "What are you doing in here? You always leave early." I say confused. I look around for anything that could protect me. "Just thought I'd come and pay you a visit." I notice my ball equipment is behind her, and last night I took the bat home. No, no, no. I hope she doesn't notice. She looks behind her, because she sees me looking there. She notices the bat and grabs it. Shit, shit, shit. Then she starts swinging the bat like a mad women. The first the thing hits is the photo of Benny and I on my bedside table. "No!" I yelled and reached for it. The next thing I know she hits me on the head with the bat. My face hits the bedside table hard. "He can't help you now." Is the last thing I hear her say before she leaves me room. I touch my head where it hurts, and when I look at my hand there's blood all over it. Then I start to close my eyes.

I jolt up in my sleep breathing heavy. Then I realize I'm in the treehouse still. I look over at Benny and notice he's still asleep. I carefully stand up, and try not to wake anyone up. I carefully walk over some of the boys, and go onto the little deck around the tree house. I lay my back against the wall and just release a deep breath I feel like I've been holding in forever. I bring my knees up to my chest and wrap my arms around my legs. Even though it's a summer night I'm freezing. I lay my head down on my knees.

"Bubs, are you okay?" I hear Benny say. I look up and smile at the boy. I just get up and walk over to him and hug him. "Bad dream?" He asks while rubbing my back. "Mhm." I mumble. "Do you want to talk about it?" He asks while we are still hugging. "Please." I mumble. "One second. Stay here." He says. He comes back out and has the blanket in his hands. "You felt cold." He says. I smile up at him. We both sit down with our backs up against the wall. He drapes the blanket over us, and wraps his arm around my shoulder. "You can talk whenever your ready." He says. I lay my head up against his shoulder and start.

"So I had just woke up in my room, and my aunt was standing right in front of me. She freaked me out, and I moved myself into the corner of my bed. I asked her what she was doing and she said she was "paying me a visit." Then I noticed that I had taken home the bat from the sandlot, and it was right behind her. She notice it too. She grabbed it and started to swing it. The first thing it hit was the picture of us from the first day of school. It flew off my bedside table and I was mad. I went forward to grab the picture, and she" I couldn't finish. I started to cry. "Hey, hey. Come here." Benny said pulling me closer to him. "Shh, Shh. You're fine Bubs. No one is going to hurt you." He said rubbing my back.

It had been around five minutes, and I had finally calmed down. I looked up at Benny. "Are you okay?" He asked worried. "I'm better now. Thank you Benny." I say. He takes his hand and cautiously puts it on my cheek that isn't scratched. I lean into his hand. He wipes a tear off my cheek. "Can I do something?" He asks nervously. Gosh I want to kiss him. "Yeah." I lightly whisper. He closes his eyes and moves towards me, and I close my eyes and do the same. Our lips finally meet in the middle. His lips feel soft against mine. The butterflies in my stomach only grow. After a couple seconds we pull away. "I like you so much Bubs. Hell you could say I love you." Benny says to me and looks into me eyes. "I could say the same exact thing." I respond. "Do you want to be my girlfriend?" He asks me. "Of course Benny." I say. We kiss again. "Let's get to bed, you need to sleep." He says. We both walk into the tree house. "Come here I think you can fit." He whispers to me. There is quite a bit of room left in his sleeping bag. I carefully get into the extra room. We are squeezed tight together, but it's okay. He puts the extra blanket on top of us. We are both too tired to say goodnight, and that's how we fall asleep. In each other's arms.
