I wasn't scared like I was the last time Bucky went because now I knew there was less chance, he would die. I was still worried, but that was normal. After all, my boyfriend and my best friend went to the enemy's den. The thought that Steve and Bucky would be back in a few days' time kept me going. But a week passed since they left, and there was no sign of them. No letter, nothing. That was when I started feeling nervous. 'They are alright. They are coming back right now,' I was trying to calm myself with that thought. It was working for 2-3 days, but after that, I couldn't stay calm.

One day, while cooking lunch, I heard a knock on the door. I ran to the door. I thought that they were Bucky and Steve and wondered why they knocked instead of unlocking the door. After all, they both had the key. I opened the door and saw Peggy.

"Peggy, what are you doing here?" I asked her, "Where are...?"

I saw a sad look on her face. Her eyes were red, as though she was crying.

"Can I come in?" she asked me.

"Of course," I let her in, led her to the living room and showed her to sit on the sofa. She sat down. I knew why she was there, but I didn't want to jump to the conclusions.

"Do you want something to drink?" I asked.

"Water, please," she said. Her voice was cracked. I brought her water.

"What happened?" I asked her.

"They..." she started crying.

"What?" I encouraged her to continue.

"They are d-" she couldn't continue, but I understood what she was trying to say. They were dead.

"No! No! No! They can't be! No!" I shouted, collapsing on the floor, crying. I felt like my heart was torn apart.

"I'm so sorry," Peggy came to me, and we hugged each other, crying. I don't know how long we stayed like that, but suddenly Peggy's phone rang. She answered. I didn't hear who she was talking to nor what she was saying. When she hung up, she said she needed to go and left. I stayed there, still crying when I felt someone wrapping their arms around me and hugging me.

"Sh, sh, sh, sh, come on, let it all out," I heard a voice and realized that was my mum.

When I calmed down, she asked me what happened. I told her everything. From the moment I stepped on Earth. By the time I finished talking, I was crying again. She hugged me.

"Come on, we'll get you home," she said, and I nodded.

"Heimdall," my mum said. The Bifrost opened, and we disappeared from the Earth.
