A few hours later, while Natasha, Bruce, Tony and I were watching TV, Steve entered. He was hurt and looked upset. I got up from the sofa.

"Steve, what happened? Are you okay?" I asked, making my way toward him.

"Director Fury, he's dead," he said. The tears filled my eyes, and I put my hand over my mouth in shock. I turned to look at the others. Everyone looked shocked.

"Is that true?" Nat asked.

"Unfortunately, yes," Steve said.

Everyone was quiet for a moment.

"How did that happen?" Bruce asked.

"I- I can't talk about it. At least not yet. I'm sorry," Steve said.

"It's okay," I said.

"But, I do have to talk to you though," Steve said.

"Why?" I asked, confused.

"In private," he said.

We went to my room.

"What is it?" I asked Steve when we entered.

"I saw Bucky," he said.

"Bucky? But- but he's dead," I said, confused.

"No."

"What do you mean? Bucky fell off of a train in 1945!" I said, still confused.

"I know, but what we didn't know was that he survived."

"Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God! He's alive? For real?" I asked, suddenly excited.

"Yes!"

"Aaaah!" I exclaimed and hugged Steve.

"He's really alive, oh my God," I said after a few minutes.

"When can I see him?" I asked. Even the thought of seeing Bucky again woke up the excitement and love inside of me.

"Well, that's the problem. You can't" Steve said. He looked everywhere except at me.

"What do you mean, I can't see him?" I asked.

"I didn't bring him."

"What? Why?" I was confused and hurt.

"He- he didn't recognize me," Steve said.

"Why? How?"

"Someone must be messing with his brain," Steve said.

I had a feeling that Steve has something else to tell me.

"What is it? There is something else, isn't it?"

"Yes," Steve said, "Bucky was the one that killed Director Nick Fury."
