Yoon Jamie
i get home from jeno and i's trip to the convenience store before he leaves and goes on to his company to practice.
i open the front door, expecting no one actually and yet i still yell out a few words, "im home!". looking at my phone texting a small stay safe to jeno, it was more of a habit than anything else.
once i moved into seoul from my grandparents house in busan, i would come home and greet like that expecting my grandparents to come and hug me, welcoming me.
but as time passes in seoul, i would come home with an empty house not a single soul present. but surprisingly i saw three today..
mom in the kitchen making some sort of stew, dad sitting on the porch holding a few papers whilst reading them. and lastly yoon jeonghan.
yoon jeonghan (he/him): a brother; a living soul that has a house but rarely comes home.
i am not complaining, he has work to do, a dream to follow, and passion to pursue. making music with his fellow bandmates, performing in different stages.
his journey to becoming popular was definetly hard, an unlikely experience. he was at verge of passing the opportunity out the window when he felt tired, practically done. but his parents were persistent, they knew that he has talent and along those lines he found the love of his life, singing.
it was prominent that there was a favorite among us, im very thankful that my grandparents took care of me, but why have children when your parents will take care of them for you, right?
in their eyes, jeonghan was an angel. meanwhile i was another stranger roaming around living off of them, my so called parents.
jeonghan was there smiling at me opening up to a hug. we werent the ones to hold a grudge, because he was less likely here anyways so why should i bother.
i hugged back, and he spoke up "i have something to tell you!" he happily said letting go "go to my room after you change" he started going to his room.
i greeted my parents, as if they were some king and queen. respectfully bowing while plastering a small smile.
i went to my room and changed before going to jeonghan's room. i knocked twice before entering and once i did i could smell the manly scent of the room mixed with newly lit candle-scent.
he was on the floor making a lego figure, a big one specifically. i guess he has time on his hands right now.
i sat near him not even bothering to touch his play toys. he stops what he was doing and looks at me with the same smile he had earlier.
"alright i have news for you, were moving!"
i let my mind sink in the information first..
"why do we have to move? i mean no one is home with me anyways-" i ask in defense but he quickly cut me off
"thats the point. no one is home, no one is taking care of you. mom and dad will be abroad most of the time now, so that means i have to take care of you!" he smiled
