7. Friends

Arthit was sitting infront of the T.V. watching cortoons, Kong sat beside him though he preferred to watch Arthit rather than some cartoon characters.

Arthit turned suddenly and graced kong with a brilliant dimpled smile. Kong's heart swelled up with happiness, he could do anything for this man-child.

Roger left to meet Mrs Rojanapat this morning, and Kong was worried about the outcome of this visit, how will she react to the news of her son being alive,all this while and what will she decides to do with Arthit, will she takes him away..... away from kong....

He was so anxious since the morning and he wanted to talk to someone, to share his feelings...... his fears..... He decided to call Aim, his best friend and ask for his help after Maria's suggestion.

With trembling fingers kong dialled his number, It only took two rings before the call was picked up

"Hello ??"

Aim's voice echoed in Kong's ear

"Hey...Aim..."

"Holy shit, kong! I haven't heard from you in two weeks and all you have to say is 'Hey....Aim ??"

Kong knew Aim would be upset with him, but he has never heard this level of anger in his voice. Again, Kong's courage wavered, and he wondered if he can actually bare his heart infront of Aim, will he judge him.....and tell him to stop and hold back his desire to stay close to Arthit.

"Yeah, I know I'm a shitty friend, but I need your help, Aim"

"Do you have any idea how many things are wrong with what you just said ??"

Aim replied

"Umm...I..."

"No way kong.... I have some things to say. First, you should know I will always help you, no matter what. Secondly, I never said you were a shitty friend. I realize you must have some heavy stuff going on in your life right now, but it would have been nice to be kept in the loop"

Kong grapple for the right words, coming up totally blank.

"Come on, kong Things have been so strange with you since that day at the cave. Spill now"

Kong wanted to know few things first before he shared his own part

"What did Roger tell you guys about the day at the cave ??"

Kong asked

"Not much, just that we needed to leave and assured us you were fine.
Tew told me about helping you and Roger transport some unconscious naked guy in his jeep, so I'm all ears."

Kong was lost where to start

"Umm...well, I sorta...found a man in that cave"

Kong told him in a low voice

"The naked, unconscious one ??"

"Well, he wasn't unconscious at the time, I found him "

Kong informed Aim

"Did you ask him why he was naked, 'cause that's pretty weird."

"He didn't speak."

"Was he all private and stuff ??"

"No, Aim, I mean he didn't have the ability to speak. He's feral."

And for the first time since kong has known him, possibly in his entire life, Aim was speechless
