23. Pent up Anger.....

Arthit POV------

Mom and Roger told me that they are dating.

But I know that already.

Kong told me what dating is...

I know things now.

Mom says they are in love.

I understand that now, too.

They are looking at me.......

They want me to say something ??

"Okay"

Mom and Roger look at me, they look a little...a little...anxious.....

I think that's the right word.

"Kong, anxious means nervous doesn't it ??"

I whisper in his ear.

He nods.

Mom, Roger, and Kong all watch me, not talking.

Am I supposed to talk ??

Roger clears his throat and speaks,

"Your mom and I were hoping to hear more of your thoughts and feelings about us. Do you understand what dating is ??"

"Yes. Kong told me. It means you two like spending time together"

Kong squeezes my hand and smiles.

I guess that means Kong and I are dating, too.

There is nothing I like more than spending time with him.

"It's a bit more complicated than that"

Roger tells me.

"Why ??"

It's easy for me to be with Kong.

I don't understand why it's complicated for Roger.

"That's probably a conversation best left for another time"

Mom, Kong, and Roger look back and forth at each other.

I feel like I am missing something.

I don't like that feeling.

"Honey, what we are trying to find out is, if it bothers you that Roger and I are together, that you aren't upset because of that ??"

Mom looks concerned as she speaks.

"Why would I be upset ?? I like Roger"

Kong leans in and whispers in my ear

"They are worried that you won't accept them because of your father"

OH...oh.... I understand now.

"Dad was happy when you were happy. Mom..... Are you happy now ??"

Mom blushes.

I learned, that's what going pink means, though I still don't know why people do that.

"Yes, I am really happy Arthit"

"Then I am happy, if you are happy"

Kong squeeze my hand again and smile, and I feel warmth and tingles spread through me at the smile on his face.

We help Roger move his things into the house from the cottage

It doesn't take very long.

"About time he moved in here"
