I feel as if I have been crying for hours. I wipe my eyes and stand up with wobbly legs. Then my eyes fall on the knife. It brought me back, maybe it can bring me back. I lunge at the knife and reach for it. But nothing happened. I sob and drag myself powerlessly to bed. All I want to do is sleep. I lie down in bed and clutch my pillow. I just can't stop crying. Why do I have to lose Ace just when we finally took a step forward. Tears are running down my cheeks. Sleep finally catches up with me and everything goes dark again. I greet them, just not thinking anymore.
I feel life coming back into my limbs and I wake up. Hopefully I open my eyes and look around. Disappointed I let my shoulder hang down. I was home again. Or had I never been away? I cry again. I don't know where I get the tears from anymore. I wipe my face with my sleeve and stand up powerlessly. I'm not really hungry, so I take a shower. I stand under the ice-cold water jet and let it run over my face, which is swollen from crying. I think about how I can get back to Ace and the others. I just can't believe that it was just a dream. I had been in pain and time had no leaps and ran chronologically. All this contradicts a dream. But why wasn't I in the in-between this time when I was sleeping. Preferably together with Ace.
I stretch and get out of the shower. All of a sudden, my body starts to go numb. What's going on? Panic-stricken, I want to run to the phone to call for help, but I already can't move at all. "What's up? Where am I?" I hear Ace's voice. "WHAT? Ace is that you?" I ask excitedly. "Lucia? Why can I still move while you are awake?" he asks. "I don't know, maybe the roles are reversed here," I conjecture. "Where is here?" Ace asks me. "My world?" I ask him. Has he really not noticed? "We are in your world?" he asks me cluelessly. "Yes, didn't you realize that you are in my body?" I ask him now. "In your body," Ace asks and looks down. It's strange, I see through my eyes, but I can't control my body. It's like looking at a screen. Only you can feel what your body is doing. Everything is dull, as if you were drunk. "Ace?" I ask. He stares down, unblinking. "How do they feel?" I hear Ace's thoughts. Can it be that I hear Ace's thoughts now, as he heard mine before? "What do you mean?" I ask, but Ace doesn't respond. What's so special, it's just my body. My naked body. Oops, now I know what he's staring at. I see my hands lift up. "Ace!" I remind him. Only he doesn't really seem to be in that sphere anymore. Then he grabs his own breasts and squeezes rather brutally. "Ouch!" Ace thinks unconsciously. "ACE!!!" I yell at him. "I'm sorry!" says Ace and winces. "Take your hands off your breasts already!" I say sharply. Caught, he drops his hands. I see him look down again and again. "I think it's better if you get dressed," I say with amusement. After all, I've seen his body naked often enough, so I shouldn't get upset. Only I have never groped.
Ace rubs the back of his neck in embarrassment and looks for clothes. "Where does she keep her clothes?" I hear his thoughts. I giggle. "I'm sure you won't find them here in the bathroom. They are in my room," I say. "Can you hear my thoughts?" he asks me. "Yes, can you feel what I feel?" I ask in return. He nods. I can feel it. He turns to the door and stands in the hallway. He scratches his head in confusion "Which way now?" Ace asks himself. "The second door," I reply to his thoughts. He walks through the door and stands in my bedroom. I'm just glad it wasn't just a dream. Ace is here with me and we will find a way back. Ace looks around and walks toward the closet. Then he takes out a pair of pants. That's all! "Ace, don't forget the underwear and the shirt!" I laugh. "Huh? Why should I wear a shirt?", I hear his thoughts. I have to laugh. "Ace you're in a woman's body now you can't just walk around topless." I explain. "Aha." he says. I shake my head mentally. "And don't forget the underwear!" I urge him. He grumbles and looks around "Where does she have the underwear now?" Ace thinks to himself. I have to laugh inside. Now I know how funny it is to squat in someone else's head. "In the dresser, third drawer," I explain. "It's annoying that you hear every thought!" grumbles Ace. "Welcome to my world!" I laugh at him.
