I look at Shanks in horror. He looks at Ace with huge eyes. Ace reaches for the cabin boy, but he ducks away and runs down the hall. Ace sprints after him and I still stand there irritated by the situation. Okay, this has gone very wrong. I hear screaming in the hallway and Ace comes rushing back into the cabin. Over his shoulder hangs a screaming Shanks. I quickly walk toward the door and close it. Ace sets Shanks down and holds him by the shoulders to keep him still. I run up to the two of them and cover Shanks' mouth. He tries to break free but Ace holds him ironclad. "Please stop screaming!" I ask Shanks, but he just looks at me in horror and tries to keep screaming. I see Ace's eyebrows twitch. I take my hand from Shanks mouth and turn his face to me. Looking him in the eye, I calmly say, "Please, Shanks!" He stops screaming and closes his mouth. I signal Ace to let go of Shanks. Ace does, but takes a stance in front of the door. Shanks is still looking at us, then points alternately at Ace and me as he stammers, "He's.... You're..." I raise my eyebrows and look at him skeptically. Now his brain has finally fried. Ace growls and walks back towards Shanks. I look at him and say just one word, "Luffy." Ace falters and remembers what Shanks did for Luffy in the future. He crosses his arms and leans back against the door. Shanks looks at me and asks, "Was that the truth, that he is the son..." Ace growls angrily and Shanks interrupts himself. I give Ace an annoyed look. "Behave yourself," I say. Ace pouts. What are we going to do with Shanks now? "Ace do you have any idea what we are going to do with Shanks now?" I ask Ace. He looks at me and shrugs his shoulders.

The door is ripped open and Ace is thrown to the floor. I look up, startled. Standing in the doorway is Rayleigh, looking at us with an annoyed expression. "What's going on?" says Rayleigh, annoyed, and steps over Ace as he slams the door shut. He looks at Ace on the floor who is scowling at him as he rubs over the bump caused by the collision. I gulp. Such a bummer. Roger can be lied to, but Rayleigh? I open my mouth to say something, but Shanks immediately bellows, "THE TWO ARE OUT OF THE FUTURE!" I slap my hand to my face. Rayleigh looks at Shanks skeptically and asks, "How many times have I told you to keep your hands off Roger's rum!" Shanks pushes his lower lip in offense and I just feel very redundant. "But I'm not drunk, I'm telling the truth! Why don't you ask them!" says Shanks, pointing to me. Will he please keep me out of his argument with Rayleigh! Rayleigh looks at me and I don't know what to say. Rayleigh shifts his weight to another leg and now looks at me. "Why are you looking at me and not Ace!" I say and point at Ace. The latter exclaims, "HEY!" "I'm really curious now how you're going to explain this!" says Rayleigh, pulling Ace to his feet. I sigh and rub my temples. Then I take a deep breath and say to Rayleigh, "Now how am I going to explain this without sounding stupid?" He looks at me and waves his hand before saying, "I travel with Roger, my wingspan when it comes to crazy stories is very wide." I pout, I hate being hassled. Ace walks up to me and stands behind me. I feel him fold his arms defensively. "So Shanks is telling the truth, Ace and I are not from this timeline. We're from your future. We've even met before. You were just a little more... gray. We're looking for a way back right now," I say, but I keep the rest to myself. He looks at me before growling, shaking his head, "Roger!" I give him an amused look, then say, "I don't see how it's Roger's fault." Rayleigh gives me a resigned look and says, "He was around and wanted to go to this island." I laugh and Ace behind me snorts. Shanks wants to say something but I throw a pillow at his head. Rayleigh is now looking at me seriously again. "What else are you hiding?" he asks and I feel Ace tense up.

"Nothing!" I say and look at Rayleigh. He looks at me and then turns to Shanks. "Shanks?" he asks the redhead who answers immediately. "The black-haired one is the captain's son!" I hang my head. Thanks Shanks, you just yelled out Ace's biggest secret. "I'm grilling Shanks!" I hear Ace say. "Luffy!" I say simply amused. Ace wraps his arms around me and snorts in my ear. I jerk my head away. "I hate it when someone blows in my ear!" I say. Ace laughs softly. Rayleigh looks at us with his mouth open and his eyes huge. "Uh I think Rayleigh is taking a brain vacation!" I say. Ace giggles in my ear again and I give him a dirty look. "You're doing that on purpose!" I say and look at Ace. He grins cheekily and now blows in my face. "Wait, there'll be revenge!" I say. Ace laughs and Rayleigh slowly comes back to reality. "HE IS WHAT?" he roars off and storms out of the room. I blink. What the hell was that? I look over my shoulder at Ace, who looks at me just as confused. Then we both look in sync at Shanks, who scratches his head in confusion. "Does anyone know what that was about?" I ask the room, but only get a shoulder shrug in response. Oh great, such a helpful answer. What are we supposed to do now? Rayleigh is somewhere doing... "Shit!" I say out loud, slapping my forehead. Ace looks at me questioningly. I run my hand over my face in annoyance. I look at Ace and swallow. If Rayleigh really gets him, it can only end in disaster. I'm about to tell Ace that we'd best get out of here and let Rayleigh run wild for a while, when I hear angry voices in the hallway. Too late for escape plans. I hear Rayleigh's and Roger's angry voices coming closer. The two are bickering at each other like an old married couple. Ace tenses as soon as he realizes who is yelling down the hall. I turn anxiously in his arms to look at him. His face has not darkened as usual. Rather, he seems confused, as if he doesn't know what to feel now. I sigh and give him a kiss on the chin, only to detach myself a moment later and walk towards Shanks. He looks at me with wide eyes. I smile sweetly at him and he seems to relax. My grin turns evil and I grab his ears and pull on them. "You couldn't shut up either, could you? Besides, you shouldn't have been outside the door in the first place." I say through Shank's whine. I additionally twist his ears before saying, "You don't eavesdrop understood!" Shanks whines and tries to get loose, doing ridiculous contortions. I'm about to let go, I'm still a good person somewhere, when the door opens and Rayleigh enters along with his entourage. The two of them freeze at the sight of me and Shanks.
