Narrator POV
Ace wakes up in the morning. Lucia doesn't seem to be awake yet, he is still lying in bed. He stretches yawning and then wants to get up. Getting dressed, he leaves the room. His nose twitches, it already smells like breakfast, which probably means Lucia's mother is already awake. He goes to the kitchen and sees Lucia's mother there making breakfast. "Morning." Ace grumbles. Lucia's mom looks at Ace and asks, "Lucia or Ace?" "Ace!" he replies. Her mother nods and continues making breakfast. Ace still has yesterday's conversation on his mind.
He doesn't know what to say to Lucia's mother. "What's bothering you?" asks Lucia's mother. He blinks in surprise. How did she know that? She laughs and says, "Well don't look so surprised. A mother just knows these things." Ace doesn't know how to begin. "Do you really not care that I'm with your daughter. Or my background?" he asks uncertainly. He wants Lucia's family to like him, he felt at home here. But Lucia's mother just laughs harshly. "Of course I care that you are with my daughter. But I'm not against it. I've seen how happy and content she is. And I see that she means a lot to you. That's what counts." Explains my mother. "But..." wants to contradict Ace, but Lucia's mother doesn't let him. "Ace our origins don't define us. It's not important where we come from, but where we are going." smiles my mother.
Ace didn't know what to say. Lucia was just like her mother. He grins. "Maybe you should take Lucia to that loony event sometime, you'd like it there!" says Lucia's mom laughing. "Loony event?" Ace thinks to himself.
Lucia's POV
I come back from the dream realm and see that Ace is already in the kitchen. Look for a D, look in the kitchen or share a body directly, and he won't get lost in the first place. "Morning Ace." I say. "Loony event?" was Ace's response. "Please what?" I ask irritated. "Your mother said that I should go to some kind of crazy event. Do you know what she means?" Ace asks me. Loony event? What does my mother mean by that? "Ask her what she means, I mean, my whole family is a loony event. I'd need more clues to know what she means," I tell Ace, who promptly asks. "Those weird events you and Nico used to go to. Where people dress up and you always spend way too much money. There's another one nearby, I heard from Nico," my mom says. An anime convention? Really? That's where I'm supposed to take Ace? That can't be good. "Do you know what she means now?" Ace asks me. "Yes, and I don't think it's a good idea." Wrong statement, Ace gets curious. "What is it then?" he asks. Knowing his stubborn head, I give in right away and say, "An anime convention, it's where all kinds of people who like different anime and manga meet." "And why shouldn't we go there now?" asks Ace. Ace at an anime convention that can't be good!
How to say that without making Ace even more curious. And because my fate seems to love, Nico just comes strolling through the door. "Nico are you going to the thingamabob meeting with Ace?" asks my mother. Nico looks questioningly. "Anime convention is what Lucia called it." explains Ace. No Ace why? Nico gets huge eyes and then beams from the whole face. I can already see I'm at a loss. "That's a brilliant idea. We'll have breakfast, get ready and then go!" says Nico enthusiastically, goading Ace to get going as fast as he can here. Usually they play pseudo corpses in the morning, but if there's a stupid idea, they can get really motivated all of a sudden. Where do I know that from?
Ace sits down and eats breakfast quickly, while Nico is already hobbling around the square. What does he actually mean by getting ready? What idiotic idea has my brother come up with now? No sooner does Ace put the knife down than Nico drags him off the table and into his room. The place looks like a mess. In other words, Ace would feel right at home. Nico rummages around in his closet. Wait, doesn't Nico have an Ace cosplay? He's not going to, is he? And how he will. He digs out the pants with belt and boots. He also has the bracelet, a log port dummy and the hat. Ace looks at him with huge eyes. "My stuff!" he says, stunned. "Not quite, they're imitations of your stuff," I explain. "There are people pretending to be me?" asks Ace, stunned. "Yup, there are, and more than you think," I say. Ace grabs the clothes and starts to undress. "ACE!!!" I yell. My brother puts his hand over his eyes and yells, "ACE!" Ace tilts his head, not really understanding. "Ace, woman's body!" I say explanatorily. "But he's your brother, so it doesn't matter!" says Ace innocently. "There are things I don't want to see, my sister's naked body is one of them!" my brother says, continuing to cover his eyes.
