It's been a few months since Brendon and Sarah passed. It's early in the morning. Tyler and Tessa are in the living room of the Cavetown base. Tyler is reading the news.
Tyler: This is crazy. Nico's forces have nearly taken over all of Ohio.
Tessa, half asleep: Interesting.
Tyler: Tessa, are you even paying attention to me? At the rate things are going there won't even be an Ohio by the end of the month; it'll all be Dema! And not just Ohio, but the whole country will be in danger!
Tessa: Huh? I mean, uh, that's really bad. What should we do?
Tyler: I don't know, Tessa, that's why I was asking you in the first place.
Tessa: Before we do anything, we should get the whole team's opinion.
Tyler: Good idea. GUYS, COME IN HERE! IT'S IMPORTANT!
The team, in varying degrees of awakeness, come into the room.
Dallon: What do you want? It's, like, six o'clock in the morning.
Chloe: Yeah, I was just in the middle of a really good dream. Can I go back to sleep, pretty please?
Tyler: No, this is really important. Things aren't looking too good for, well, for all of us Ohioans.
Ryan: Some of us aren't from Ohio, Tyler. I, for one, am not from Ohio, nor am I fond of the state. I need to be near the sea.
Tyler: Ohio isn't fond of you either. Anyway, Dema is rapidly expanding. Right now, it's nearly all of Ohio. Ohio barely exists anymore. Soon, there'll be no Ohio to speak of.
Awsten: Oh, no, what a nightmare. No Ohio. The horror. Literally nobody speaks of Ohio to begin with, Tyler!
Tyler: I SPEAK OF OHIO! And so does everyone who lives here. We need to attack Dema, save Ohio. But not yet. Right now, we're down three members.
Gracie: I can join the team.
Everyone is shocked.
Awsten: You? Join the team? What are you, crazy? You don't even have powers! Besides, what would your hero name be, Yeehaw Girl?
Gracie: Yeehaw Girl. I love it.
Awsten: I wasn't serious.
Gracie: Still. I love it. And I may not have any powers, but I have a Texas-shaped waffle iron, and I'm practically deadly with that.
Tessa: A waffle iron? Not the most conventional weapon, I gotta admit. But a weapon's a weapon. Gracie Knight, welcome to Team Awesome.
Gracie: It's an honor. I can't wait to join y'all in fighting the good fight.
Tyler: Alright, now we're down only two members. Not bad, considering that there's now 17 of us. So, an attack on Dema is happening. The question is, when?
Tessa: Good question. We might need to recruit more members first, because we're still down two. Another important question: should we stay in Ohio or not?
Tyler: Of course we're staying in Ohio! Why wouldn't we?
Tessa: You said it yourself: Ohio barely exists anymore. For all we know, this corn field is technically in Dema. It's not safe to stay in Ohio when our old pal Nico probably has a huge bounty over our heads.
Tyler: We are not running from Ohio like cowards!
Tessa: That's a funny way of pronouncing "leaving a warzone like sensible people."
Tyler: Ugh. Guys, let's do a vote. All in favor of staying in Ohio, say aye. All opposed, say nay.
Everyone except Tyler is opposed.
Tyler: So it's settled. You're cowards. Also, we're relocating. But where to? And what if Nico's men find the base?
Jack: I could burn it down.
Tyler: That's a cracking idea, Jack. Obviously we'd need to pack our things first. And, uh, get out.
Jack: True.
Robbie: Wait, wait, wait. You're gonna burn down the base? Cavetown is my home! Cavetown has been my home since I was young; that is to say, it's been my home for the past 4 years.
Jack: It's for the best. We don't want it being used as an enemy base.
Robbie: Fair.
Cut. The next scene opens in the cave, outside the base. The team is standing around the base with their things in bags.
Tyler: Jack, I know this is gonna be hard for you, but it's a necessary precaution. We're in a full-out war with Nico.
Jack: Yes, sir.
Tyler: You ready?
Jack: Yes, sir. He sets the base on fire. The base goes up in flames while Burn The House Down by AJR plays. Robbie looks on in horror as his home of four years is destroyed.
When the team is sure that what was once the Cavetown base is now a smoldering pile of ash:
Adam: Welp, that wasn't how I was expecting to start my morning. But then, Jack is a wild card.
Jack: Why yes, yes I am. We probably should have figured out where we were relocating to before we burnt down the base.
Tyler: Yes.
Breezy: Perhaps we could go back to Utah?
Tessa: Nope. God, no. I never wanna go back to Utah. Brings back bad memories. Betrayal, failure, leaving Awsten on the side of the road, the like.
Tyler: Wait wait wait. You left Awsten on the side of the road? You never told me this. That's great. What did he do?
Tessa and Awsten, at the same time: IT WAS UNINTENTIONAL!
Tyler: Alright, alright. So where the heck are we relocating to?
Gracie: I know a place. There's room enough for all of us, and there'll be ample distance between us and Dema. How do y'all feel about Texas?
