Awsten and Tessa are in their room, unpacking.
Tessa: I'm gonna miss the Cavetown base. So many amazing memories were made there.
Awsten: I haven't been there as long as you, but amen to that. I'm excited to see what shenanigans will ensue here at the new base.
Tessa: Shenanigans. I like that word.
Awsten: It's a good one, isn't it?
Tessa: Mhm.
Tyler, yelling from off-camera: GUYS! BRENDON'S BACK FROM THE DEAD!
Cut to the whole team in the sitting room. Brendon and his friends have arrived.
Brendon: Saying I'm back from the dead implies I died, when I did not in fact die. You can't kill disco, everyone knows that.
Tyler: This is not a time for joking. Brendon! How are you alive? And who are these... people? Are they necromancers who brought you back to life?
Brendon: No, no. These are Sebastian, Remington, and Emerson Kropp. They're, um... vampires. And they saved my life.
Tessa: Vampires saved your life? How?
Brendon: They turned me into one.
Tessa: Cool!
Tyler: You really should have called and told us you were alive, Brendon. When I saw you at the door, I nearly passed out.
Brendon: I did call and tell you I was alive, Tyler. The fact that you didn't know is due only to Tessa's negligence, because she's the one I called. Anyway, they insisted on coming along when I told them about Team Awesome. They're into preventing human deaths and stuff. Plus, I knew y'all were down a few members, so it's a win win.
Tessa: Friends of Brendon, can you excuse us for a moment?
Exit Sebastian, Remington, and Emerson.
Gracie: Are you sure it's a good idea letting vampires live with us? Vampires who saved Brendon's life, yes. But vampires are vampires.
Tyler: Regardless of the whole vampire thing, I still have some reservations about Brendon's friends joining the team. The last time a friend of Brendon's joined Team Awesome, we ended up down three members.
Brendon: Excuse me?? Fr- Hayley is not my friend.
Tyler: Well I thought she was, cuz you guys were pretty close-
Brendon: Nope, not my friend. She literally killed my wife. And tried to kill me.
Tyler: You're the one who trusted her with your wife's life.
Brendon: She offered to come along, and I was too scared to say no! Hayley scares me! Hayley scares everyone!
Tyler: Ain't that the truth. Anyways, all in favor of Brendon's friends joining the team say aye, all opposed say nay.
Most of the team say aye.
Tyler: It's been decided. GUYS, YOU CAN COME BACK IN NOW!
They re-enter.
Tessa: We decided to let you join.
Remington: YO! AWESOME! Team Awesome sounds like a vibe, I'm so excited to be a part of the chaos. Brendon's told me all about you guys. Apparently there's a yeehaw here?
Awsten: That would be my sister, Gracie. He points to Gracie.
Remington: I call being her roommate. I've never seen a yeehaw firsthand, and I'm not about to pass up the opportunity to study one in their natural habitat.
