Jean Luc is driving the jeep and Bluey is in the passenger seat. The only noise that is heard between the two is the ambience of a busy Saturday night road.

Jean Luc breaks the ice by saying, "I am hoping to have a great time with you tonight, Bluey."

"I hope so too! This will be a great chance for us to finally catch up on what's happened to us over the last twelve years," Bluey responds.

"That was what I was going to say!..."

He thinks for a moment.

"Jean Luc? Is everything alright?"

With a smile on his face, he slows down and turns into the restaurant. "Everything is just fine... Our night has just started."

Bluey looks up and sees the place, shocked. "You took me to La Vue?! Merci!"

"De rien, ma petite amie. Maintenant, let's eat!"

They go inside the restaurant, get seated, and read from the menus that were given to them.

"Everything looks so delicious, it's hard for me to choose what I want," Bluey says.

"I agree, they all look very delicious..." He places the menu down on the table and shows her the Spring Vegetable Stew, "but I believe that I will have this."

"That DOES look good, I believe I will try that," Bluey says, intrigued.

The waiter arrives and asks them, "Welcome to La Vue, what would you two like to order?"

Jean Luc turns to Bluey and says, "Ladies first."

She tells the waiter, "Je voudrais le ragoût de légumes de printemps avec une salade traditionnelle et pain au chocolat en dessert, s'il vous plaît."

The waiter turns to Jean Luc, he is looking at Bluey with a shocked expression on his face.

"Bluey, ma petite amie, I think he doesn't know a single word in the French language!" Jean Luc says.

"Yeah, I need to know what she just said," the waiter chimes in.

"She said that she would like the Spring Vegetable Stew with a traditional salad and chocolate bread for dessert, please... Could you kindly make that two orders?"

"Of course! Just give the chefs around 20 minutes to cook all of that."

"Will do, sir," Jean Luc tells him.

"Oh yeah, could you also give us a glass of water please?" Bluey asks.

"Give me a moment and I will get those for you."

"Okay, thank you!" she replies.

A little while later, they get their food and their drinks and start eating.

"So, how was it for you back in Canada?" Bluey asks him.

"It was boring... Cold... Uneventful... And I was thinking about you the whole time, wishing to know what it was like if we lived in the same place with you." Jean Luc answers. "How about you? How was Australia?"

"Exactly the same as what you said about Canada actually, except it was hot," she says.

They chuckle.

"How does the food taste?" Jean Luc asks.

"It tastes amazing! This was what you ate all the time back home?"

"I wouldn't say all the time, but yes, I grew up eating this food."

"Maybe you can cook me some food when we get a place of our own."

"I would love to do that for you. I will cook you the best meals that I have eaten when I was at home."

Some time passes without another word uttered. The waiter comes back to their table and asks them, "Would there be anything else that you would like tonight?"

"Other than the check, there is not another thing we need, thank you!" Jean Luc says.

"I will be right back with your check," the waiter replies.

Jean Luc turns to Bluey and tells her, "Just because we are leaving the restaurant, it does not mean our date night is over. I still have a surprise in store for you."

Bluey gasps in surprise. "I can't wait to see what it is! But I mean, you didn't HAVE to do all of this for me, I would have loved to just stay at home and cuddle with you until we fall asleep in each other's arms, then wake up the next morning with a little more of a feeling of love for each other than we had today."

"Do not get me wrong, I would have loved doing that with you too, but I decided that you needed time away from your family."

The waiter arrives with the check, places it on the table, and leaves with a smile and an "I hope you had a great time eating here tonight."

Jean Luc places the money in the billfold and takes Bluey to his next destination.
