A few months have passed since Bluey accepted Jean Luc's proposal and she still cannot fathom the thought of being engaged to someone that she has had a crush on since she was six years old, yet she is exactly a day away from what would possibly be the best day of her life.
"Jean Luc, honey, the wedding, it's tomorrow! I can't wait!" Bluey says excitedly.
"Oh, for a moment, I thought you were listing off some items for me to buy at the supermarket," he jokingly replies.
He receives a playful nudge and a laugh from her.
"Oh yeah, that's also another reason why I love you."
"Why is that, mon amie?"
"Because you always know how to make me laugh at any time of the day and no matter what mood I'm in... I love that about you and it makes me love you even more than I already do."
"That is so sweet, but do you need me to buy some honey from the supermarket?" he jokes again.
Bluey laughs and replies, "No, but there is something that you don't need money to buy."
"Et ce serais quoi ? "
"Sucre ! "
She jumps onto him, locking him into a huge hug.
"Mais je dois acheter du sucre au supermarché, qoui ? "
She bursts into a fit of laughter that is so loud, it wakes up Bingo from her nap. Bingo walks out of her room and into the living room to angrily say, "I am trying to sleep, can you be quiet?!"
"But how can I be quiet about my wedding tomorrow? I am going to be marrying the man of my dreams in less than 24 hours, that's a huge accomplishment for me that I'm proud to scream at the top of my lungs for... But yes, I will be quieter."
"Thank you!" Bingo says aloud, then she says to herself, "All I needed was a simple 'yes' or 'no' answer" before walking back to her room to take a nap, shutting the door behind her.
Bluey happily sighs and leans into Jean Luc's chest. He plays with the little tuft of fur that Bluey has on the top of her head. After a little while, he finally builds up enough courage to whisper into Bluey's ear, "Tomorrow is going to be the greatest day of our lives."
She gets up and loudly says "I know, I'm so excited!"
A couple of seconds later, Bingo opens up her bedroom door and says "Last warning, be quiet or I'll have mum and dad quiet you down."
"They aren't here, they went to pick up something, but I don't know what it is."
Still in a sleepy haze, Bingo answers, "It's a four tier cake for your wedding," then she snaps out of it and realizes that she slipped up.
Bluey gasps and screams, "REALLY?!"
Bingo repetitively says, "I shouldn't have said anything," while walking back down the stairs, wide awake.
~~LATER THAT NIGHT~~
On their way to their room, Bluey says to Jean Luc, "I have all these questions that are running through my mind... Is that normal?"
"Of course they are normal, my mother went through the same process that you are going through," he replies.
"One question I have is, 'What is the ceremony going to be like?'"
"I forgot to mention that my mother's questions were all negative, so you are going through the opposite version of what she went through."
She chuckles at the thought.
He continues, "I can imagine that our ceremony will go very well, every aspect of it."
"Another question I have is, 'How many of our friends and family will actually arrive?'"
He yawns and says, "I could see your mother, father, sister, and your cousins being there. I could see my parents being there too. I do not know about any other people."
"I know, you're tired, but let me ask you one more question."
"What is your last question?"
"My last question is, 'What if we want to... 'do it'... during our honeymoon?'"
Surprised by the question, he blushes and stutters before he replies, "That will be a question answered when it happens, good night my love, I will see you at the altar," as he kisses her forehead and goes to another room to sleep in.
Confused by his reaction, she goes to bed. "Tomorrow awaits" are the last words she says before drifting off to sleep.
