Bluey and Jean Luc get back home at around 10:30 p.m. and they are super excited to tell everyone the big news. As they walk up to the front door, Jean Luc goes to rap on the door, but Bandit opens it before he can do it.
"You two are back early... What happened?" He turns and points at Jean Luc and says, "Did you hurt my little girl?"
"Dad, I'm fine, he didn't hurt me!" Bluey assures Bandit. "Actually, he did the opposite."
Confused, Bandit tells them to come in the house and tell him and Chilli everything.
Jean Luc starts out by talking about the restaurant and how Bluey blew the waiter and his minds by placing her order in French. Bluey finishes talking about the night with the stroll through the park and the elaborate setup Jean Luc planned.
"I looked away from the plane and turned to Jean Luc..." She shows her parents the ring that he proposed to her with.
Bandit's jaw dropped and Chilli starts to cry. Bluey starts to cry (again) and they all get up and group hug.
"This is... What... Is... For real life?!" Bandit says, shocked.
"Yes, Dad! If you wanna look at it, you can." She holds her paw out for Bandit to look.
He asks Jean Luc, "How did you manage to buy a ring like that!"
"It was my grandmother's wedding ring. She passed it down to my dad, then he passed it down to me."
He looks at the ring, silent and still in a state of shock.
"Monsieur Heeler, are you okay?"
"I... This... Wow!"
"He will probably be like this for the rest of the night, he's fine," Chilli assures Jean Luc.
"I am guessing that now is too early to ask if we can have-"
"Of course, you have my blessing!" Bandit answers.
They all group hug again, tears are flowing.
After the hug stops, Chilli tells Bluey and Jean Luc, "I get that this a celebratory moment, but the two of you need to get to bed."
"D'accord..." Bluey and Jean Luc say simultaneously.
They go upstairs and get ready for bed. 15 minutes later, they slip into bed.
"Bonne nuit, mon fiancé," Jean Luc chuckles.
Bluey chuckles back at him and says, "Good night, my fiancé."
They drift off to sleep with a smile on their faces.
