The next morning, Bluey woke up and noticed that Jean Luc was not beside her. After a few minutes, she realized why he wasn't there: today is the day that they get married.
"MUUUUUUUUUM!" she excitedly screams as she runs from her room to her parents' room. "Today's the day, today's the day, today's the DAY!"
Tearing up, Chilli responds, "I know, my big girl is gonna be a wife in less than six hours."
"Mum, please save your tears for the altar, you'll be standing right beside me because you're my maid of honor"
"I know, I know, it's just... My baby girl is all grown up, she has a man, and..."
She sniffles at the thought, then bursts out into tears of joy while Bandit hugs Chilli tightly.
Bandit turns his head towards Bluey and says, "I remember when me and your mum got married, it was a beautiful ceremony. Huge chandelier hanging in the middle of the ballroom. All of our friends and families came out to watch what they thought was the weirdest wedding ceremony ever-"
"Oh geez, Dad, please don't ruin me and Jean Luc's day with your antics... and getting blackout drunk... and with speaking about weird things you did when you were my age to his parents."
Bandit lets go of Chilli and places his hands on Bluey's shoulders, endearingly telling her "I promise you that I will not do anything to ruin your day."
"Thank you, it means a lot to me. Now you just have to keep your word."
"When have I not kept my word?" Bandit asks.
Bluey raises her eyebrow and slightly smiles. "I can think of multiple times where you did that to us."
"That was supposed to be a rhetorical question," he says.
~~SOME TIME LATER~~
"Mum, I need you to see how I look in this dress," she yells from her room.
After a moment, Chilli walks into her room and breaks out into more tears.
"Honey, you look beautiful!"
"Oh great, I just got my makeup done and you're going to make me cry? Come on!" Bluey exclaims.
They hug it out, squeezing the life out of each other.
"Hold on, lemme get your dad in here to see you," Chilli tells Bluey. She walks towards the door of the bedroom and yells, "Bandit, get in here, look at your beautiful daughter!"
"Mum, I already have blush on, don't make me blush any more!"
Bandit walks into the room, sees Bluey, and tears start to well up in his eyes. "She looks just like you did on our wedding day!"
Chilli laughs. She hugs him and says, "You big baby."
An alarm clock rings out.
"Oh! I have fifteen minutes before I have to be at the altar. Dad, are you still going to 'give me away'?" Bluey asks.
"I don't wanna give you away, but yes, I will."
They walk out of the room, everyone already seated or in their respective positions. Bandit looks at Bluey one last time and asks, "Is my little girl ready to become a woman?"
She sighs happily. "I am ready."
The signal is given to start the ceremony. Trixie starts to play "Here Comes The Bride" on the piano and the ceremony is under way.
