Ch. 6 Run

"YOU WHAT!" Jess started freaking out when I told her about my little romance with shawn tonight. "we just snuggled on a roof that's all! At least I didn't kiss him in public! The Papz are gonna eat you alive!" She told me about how Matt took her down to a river, little did they know Matt was being followed. He isn't as famous as shawn but they will defiantly put him on a magazine with the pictures that they had taken.

"Oh shut up... it was defiantly a night I will never forget... now let's get some shut eye. the boys will be here in a few hours" I smiled and flicked off the lights. we talked for probably an hour but we needed to get at least a few hours of sleep. "night" I climbed into my bed and snuggled up to the spot shawn was laying in, it still had his smell. "night"

I never fell back asleep, images of shawn holding me and the stars kept playing through my mind. after a while I heard Jess's soft snores and I climbed out of bed. The clock read 7:15 so I still had quite sometime before the boys showed up, maybe I should call my mom?

Nah I don't want her to yell at me for something stupid. she would probably have my head if she knew he came into my hotel room and stayed with me in the same bed. I walked over to my suit case and grabbed a pair of yoga pants and a tank top, might as well go for my morning run. I wrote out a note for Jess just incase she woke up, I didn't want her to worry.

I walked outside of my hotel and stretched my legs before plugging in my head set. 'something big' by shawn came on and I couldn't help but smile. "alright let's go" I took off and started to run down the streets, not too many people were out.

I took a couple lefts and a right and I could feel my legs starting to burn so I slowed down to a fast walking pace. It felt nice to be out in the open and not have a lot of people out.

I ended up running back to the convention center where shawn had his concert, I wonder if anyone's still there? I opened the door and it was unlocked. I crossed inside and it seemed vacant, nobody works this really anymore these days. I walked over to the stage and stood up on it, memories of last night came into my mind and I couldn't help but smile.

"What are you smiling about?" I tripped over a little and I heard a chuckle "get startled much?" I turned to the voice that belonged to Matt. "Jeez matt you scared me" he chuckled and crossed over to me "why are you here anyway Matt?" He grinned "why are you?"

"Not fair I asked first" he put his hands up as in surrender "alright, alright. the boys locked me out of my hotel room because I was out so late with Jess, so I just crashed in the dressing room, now your turn" wow they were mean. "I was going for my morning run and I passed the building and wanted to see if anyone was here" he grinned "sureeee. anyway aren't we suppose to go get breakfast or something?"

I looked over at the clock on the wall and it said 8 "we still have like an hour" he shook his head "no, shawn just called me. he said he couldn't wait any longer and he woke up everybody so we're all going now. want me to take you back to your hotel so you can get changed and then I'll take you?" I nodded and smiled "lets go."

The walk back to my hotel was nice, matt was mainly talking about Jess and I couldn't help but smile whenever he would mention her name and his eyes would light up. Jess needs someone stable and that's for sure.

"I'll just be a minute" he sat down on my bed while I grabbed a change of clothes and went to the bathroom. I slipped on my skinny jeans and tank top, gotta love summer. I grabbed my phone and I had a bunch of new text messages from an unknown number

*hey beautifullllll*
It's shawn number.
*i came by and you were out on your run, so I grabbed jess and were waiting for you*
*hurry up! I miss you!*

"Hey shelb, we need to go. Shawns being very impatient" i smiled and walked back to the room "yeah lets" The breakfast joint wasn't too far of a walk. we walked into the blue building and we saw everybody in the back.

I immediately found the pair of brown eyes that I loved. He smiled widely and patted the seat next to him. Matt walked over to Jess and sat next to her and they started chatting. "hey cutie" he gave me a kiss on the cheek. "I missed you beautiful" he took my hand in his under the table. "it's been like 4 hours, not even" he grinned "I still did".

After a few minutes a lady came over with food "I ordered for you" she put down a glass of chocolate milk and chocolate chip pancakes win bacon, sausage, and scrambles eggs. "I love bacon!" Shawn had the same thing as me but with coffee "since when do you drink black coffee?" He chuckled and grabbed some creamer from the center of the table "since never" I should of known that.

"So shelbi are you coming to the next stop?" I looked up at Jack Johnson and gulped "what?" Shawn shook his head "oh that's the thing we weren't suppose to bring up yet... my bad" I looked over at shawn "can we go for a walk?" I nodded and we both left the table and started to walk outside. "I want to ask you something" he brought me over to this bench and we sat down.

"How would you like to come into my next tour stop? It's in Las Angeles and it's for three days. You can ride my bus there and I'll pay for you to fly home... it's all free" what? He did not just ask that. "Why? We just met and I don't know if my mother will approve" he took my hand in his "I don't care if we only just met. I really like you and you can just say that you won the trip at the concert" that's actually pretty smart. "what about Jess? I can't just leave her hanging" he smiled and I knew he was thinking about how I care about everyone else first again. "Matts coming with, so she can come too" she would love that, I know she doesn't want to go back home to her father.

"Okay, let me call her" his squeezed my hand as I dialed my mothers number.

Mom: hello?
Me: hey mom
Mom: shelbi! Can't wait tell your coming come tomorrow!
Me: yeah about that...
Mom: what happened?
Me: mom I won a contest and I get to go to Shawns next tour spot and jess gets to come too. the whole things paid for and I'll be back I three days instead of tomorrow
Mom: well.. I guess I can't say no to something that's free
Me: love you mom! Call you later!

I hung up and shawn was smiling. "I can't wait" he nodded "me neither"

We walked back to the breakfast joint and shawn nodded to matt and Jess just freaked out and hugged Matt, did she know? "Anyway the bus is gonna leave in an hour. so well swing by and pick you up" I nodded and grabbed jess and pulled her out "we gotta pack, fast"

We sprinted to the hotel and threw all our stuff in our luggage "did you know?" She stopped and looked at me "yeah, I wanted to say something but he wanted to be the one to tell you" awe cute.

We finished checking the room for any lost items and then hauled our stuff outside to meet shawn and his bus. all the boys were gonna ride to LA but leave the next day, except for Matt. Shawn put our stuff away and we climbed on. the bus was huge! It bad rows of bunk beds and a bathroom, a small kitchen area and a place to chill.
This was going to be fun.
