it's the next day and i'm still figuring out what the hell this place is, even though i had a tour and i had most of my questions answered. i was told that i had to do each job to see what i am best at. i hate most of the jobs to be honest. my favourite so far is medjacks and i hate the slopper job. it's too much effort and i ended up the most dirty and sweaty.

the medjacks are okay. clint and jeff are very nice and have welcomed me a lot. when i'm not working on helping people, i am on a break, which is always calming. i finished working as a medjack and i'm now gardening with newt.

questions still flooded my head but i knew most of them couldn't be answered like: why are we here, who put us here, why did they put us in this hellohole. i was picking weeds from the ground while newt was pricking wire through the leaves.

"has anyone tried climbing to the top?" i asked while picking the seeds.

"tried it, the ivy doesn't go all the way to the top and besides, where are you gonna go from there?" newt replied like he has said that so many times before, which he probably has.

"well what about the box, y'know the next time it comes up you can-" i started speaking but he cut me off.

"tried it, the you can't go down there, it doesn't move," i was still trying to find a solution to escape this place.

"well-" i started but he cut me off, again.

"look we've tried it alright, anything you can think in your confused brain, we have already tried it," he raised his voice a bit, like he was annoyed at my questions. i was a bit taken aback, yet i understood as to why newt was being a bit of a dick. he has probably said that SO many times to all of the greenies. that had me wondering.

'how long has newt been here?' that was my new question that made me irritated, like a itch that can't be scratched. i was just about to speak but then, at the corner of my eye, i see the runners, including thomas, exit the maze and go into a hut.

"hey newt?" i said.

"yeah?" he said back.

"where are the runners going?" i asked keeping my gaze on the runners going into the big wooden hut.

"it's called the map room, it's where the runners go to map where they have ran the maze so they can find a way out of the maze," newt said keeping his eyes on the gardening.

"how long have they been looking?" i questioned, which suddenly slipped out.

newt sighed, "three years," newt said looking kinda sad. my face expression went from curiosity to concern.

"oh i-i'm sorry" i said looking at him.

"yeah..." was all he said after i asked him, what seemed like a personal quesion. i then looked at the map hut and the door was slightly opened. my curiosity was taking over me, i couldn't just stand here and wait for something to be done. so i followed my gaze. literally.

i strutted towards the map room with newt shouting to me behind, but i didn't care, i was craving more answers to my questions.

"what are you doing greenie?" newt asked now beside me.

"i need to know more about this hellhole," i replied back to him.

"this isn't the way to get the answers you want greenie," he said now touching my arm to drag me away.

"well i ain't getting many answers, so this is the way to go newt," i said with a slight attitude. i just needed answers.

"no, seriously greenie, you ain't allowed in there, it's for runners only," he said now with concern written in his tone.
