THE NEXT DAY

? POV

I've done it. I've accomplished my goal. all I needed to do was to press a button and I'm In control. I've controlled subject A9.

not only have I completely taken over subject A9, I've made him make subject A0 uncomfortable. that was what I wanted.

"doctor ava paige, what have you done to subject A9 and A0?" rat man asked me as he walked into the computer room.

what had to be done doctor janson," I replied, crossing my arms over my white lab coat.

"are you sure about this doctor?" he asked me, again.

"yes janson! what I say goes," I said In an annoying tone, trying to get him to take the hint.

"okay, If your sure doctor," he asked me. I didn't answer, he knew what I wanted. so he left the room. thank goodness. as soon as he left, I walked towards the screens and sat down on the office chair.

'hmm what should I do now?' I thought to myself.
'yes! the rage button'. that was the one. so I pressed it.

THE SAME TIME

GALLYS POV

I don't really remember what's happened throughout the last few days. all I know is that the day goes by like this

I wake up, eat, work, sleep, repeat

that was the routine I've followed for three years on end. the same routine everyday. I've never broken it. at least that's what I thought. for the last couple of days, I've felt like someone's been taking over my body. I don't know why or who or how. all I knew Is that when they do, I don't remember what happens during or after. It's like my memories are getting wiped, for the second time In my life. which Isn't fun. I've finally finished working with my shank-mates. they've been a pain today, but ya gotta suck It up for the sake of the glade. ya gotta do the stuff ya don't like sometimes, even though some of these people are a real kick in the teeth.

TIME SKIP TO AFTER DINNER

I finished my food and am now walking towards the sleeping hut to, you guessed it, sleep. I was just about to walk into the hut, but I could feel myself getting dizzy.

'this is weird, I've had plenty of water today? I'm not dehydrated'. I brushed it off and raised my hand to grip onto the wooden doorknob, but I felt nauseous. not a second later It went black.

I don't know where I was, how I got here. It was just black. nothingness. like I was in the black hole.

the worst part of it was I didn't know how to get out.

It's after dinner and I'm just strolling in the forest. It's a pretty cold night. newt always told me to never go into the forest at night alone. anything could happen. I'm sure he's just concerned, nothing bad can happen In a forest. thank god I put on a baggy jumper, It's freezing out here. I've been out here for an hour, nothing's happened, which I expected. 'told you newt' I thought, while walking around.
