Dear H,
You'll never guess what happens today. I, little Louis Tomlinson, got into a fight! I know that if you were here you would probably be angry at me but before you throw a tantrum... I won! Well I think I did.
I know you are definitely still pouting up there, but this idiot was picking on Tom. Do you remember him? Small, scrawny and a few years below you.
Now do you know who I mean? I swear Harry your so forgetful. You better not forget me!
Anyway, I couldn't just watch him get pummelled to death so, I pushed my way through the crowd and beat the shit out of this guy.
He was twice my size Harry, and I won!!!!!
I have you to thank for that. I've had plenty of practice from when I had to scare the kids off that use to push you around. Although you never let me fight any of them, maybe just a punch if I was lucky.
My first ever fight was when I was in year six. Most of the time, you would play with me, Liam, Zayn and Niall. However when you are in year six you have mocks for the real SATs, meaning that sometimes I had to miss your break time. I hated leaving you alone, but I had to do it.
I was nervous because I knew you had a tough time in school and when I wasn't around, it gave them free time to pick on you.
My nerves had just settled, when I heard chanting from the window. Luckily, I was sat right next it so I could see everything going on; you was lying in the middle of the concrete with an chubby ginger lad sat on top of you, throwing punches as everyone stood by and watched. You pushed him off and I nearly cheered, earning myself a harsh look from my teacher.
Running as fast as your lanky legs could carry you, you sprinted in my direction until that awful boy and his mates pulled you back to the ground and began kicking.
At the sight of blood rushing down your face, I darted out of the class room (not caring the slightest about my exam.)
Quick, strong and sharp, I punched the three boys standing over you - well they were no longer standing after I kicked them to the floor to see how they liked being trampled on - I smiled at my work. That is until a taller boy (Ed) with the same fiery hair, presumably the other ones brother, clocked me round the head. We went on scrapping for a few more minutes until he ran away.
Did the teachers just not give a shit?
Slightly struggling, I lifted your body off the gravel and carried you towards the forest part of the field (technically students were not allowed in there with out adult supervision and normally I would follow the rules but I felt like to much of a badass, with my black eye, to care.)
We sat in there all day as I hugged you, hoping you would stop crying. You did eventually. As soon as my hand intwined with yours, it was like a switch flipped - your smile was back. My touch just seemed to have a power over you...
You pulled me in all different directions as you chased squirrels like a puppy. It was adorable, really. I was so charmed by you and how you smiled with your green eyes that only turned a deeper shade as all the plants reflected in them, I was amazed that I forgot of the ticking clock... my exam! I had missed my exam.
I was panicking and stressing. What will the teacher say? What will my mum say? What if I don't get into high school based on this one bad test? My life will be ruined!
Suddenly my heart beat quickened, not because I missed my test but because I could feel the warmth of your lips press against my rosey cheek.
"Thank you," Harry whispered in Louis slightly elvish ear.
After that moment, that meant so much to me, you gave me one of your famous Harry styles smile. Buck teeth and dimples... a sight I will never forget and will never stop loving.
I was so over whelmed by mushy feelings that circled my head that nothing mattered to me other than seeing you smile. That day everything became about you. I didn't care about that stupid test, in fact it worked out for the best because I got moved down to the dummer table or "less able" as the teachers would say. I was happy I moved because I got sat next to Niall. That's not the best part though, from where I was sitting I could see out of the room door and into your classroom. I could see you sat listening, I could see your angel curls.
Remember how me made up hand signals so we could talk to each other? Those were the good days... the days when I was able to protect you.
Sometimes it's hard to protect the ones you love.
I always tried my best though, because it's you. Harry, you are all I ever think about. My mind is filled with everything about you, it will stay that way forever,
Lou x
