Show Me Your Hand

Viv and I chose a place to spend the night at and started unpacking. We made the tent together and then went to find some firewood for a campfire. It was already dark, so we were using flashlights to get from place to place.

For a second, Viv and I got separated and I heard a loud grunt from her side.

"VIIVVV???"

"I'm alright."

"Wave your flashlight, so I can see where you are."

"I am fine. I'll come back to the tent in a second."

"WAVE YOUR FLASHLIGHT, SO I SEE WHERE YOU ARE."

I saw a white light on my left and ran towards it. When I got closer, I saw Viv sitting on a rock, covering her face.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing, Lisa."

"Show me your hand."

"It's nothing."

"Viv, show me your hand."

She took her hand off her face and I saw a huge cut on her cheek. It was bleeding like crazy.

"OH MY GOD, VIV."

"Don't panic, it's ok."

"Get up. Let's go back to the tent, so I can clean it up."

"I'm alright, thanks."

"I'm not taking that bullshit now. Get up!"

I helped her walk back to the tent and sat her down on one of our camping chairs.

"Sit still while I clean up the cut," I told her, going through our first-aid kit.

"You really don't have to do this."

"Yes, I do."

"No one ever does."

"Well, get used to it because I'm not letting you bleed to death in the middle of nowhere."

"Ouch!!"

"Sorry, it's gonna hurt a bit before the pain goes away. How did you manage to cut your cheek anyways?"

"I walked into a branch."

"You're lucky it didn't poke your eye."

"I guess."

"You'd manage to score goals without your eyes too, so I guess that wouldn't be a problem, huh?"

"Stop that. I'm not even that good."

"Aha, sure."

"You are a way better player."

"Can't believe I just got complimented by THE Viv Miedema."

"Never again."

"Ahahahahaahah. Just kidding."

"You can't take your words back."

"Pff, I have superpowers. I can turn back the time and fix stuff."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"Alright, then I'm from a different planet and I can teleport."

"Great choices. I approve."

"Thanks," she said with a smile.

I can't believe how cute she is.
