i keep trying to stop myself from posting updates too soon, but i CANT WAIT lol. ik im gonna feel ✨ empty ✨ when i finish the story, so i wanna put that off as much as possible :/

Lisa's pov:

I felt horrible for hurting Viv's feelings. I don't even think I did anything bad. I was just joking around.

"What's with that mood?" Ems asked, as she joined me on the couch with her dessert.

"I think I had a fight with Viv."

"You think?"

"Well, we were texting and then she just left me on read."

"She texts?" Ems said laughing.

"Ahahaahahaha, I know, right."

"It's alright, though. Every couple has fights here and there."

"We're not a couple."

"SHE CARRIED YOU IN HER ARMS ALL MORNING."

"BECAUSE MY FOOT HURTS."

"Or you pretend it does, so she carries you around."

"Shame on you for thinking such disgraceful things about me. I expected better from you, Emma Mitchell."

"Ahahahaahahahaha. Listen, but you still can't convince me that nothing happened between you two."

"Nothing did."

"You spent two nights together and nothing happened? You are either a big fat liar or both of you are so too fucking clueless."

"Thanks for your-."

Our doorbell rang.

"Can you get it, please?" I asked Em.

"I bet you my life that it's Viv."

"It's not."

"We'll see."

"You have to open the door first."

She rolled her eyes and went to see who it was.

"TOLD YAAA," she yelled from the hallway.

A second later her and Viv came to our living room.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, fixing my hair.

"Brought you some ice cream."

"What?"

"You said you wanted ice cream, so I brought you some."

"Aawww, what a girl... What did you do to the old Viv, though?" Ems said looking at Viv and then turned her head towards me and loudly whispered, "She greeted me with a hug."

"GOOOO," I screamed at her.

"I AM. I don't wanna be third-wheeling you two lovebirds."

She left and I could finally shift all my attention to Viv.

"Thank you, but you didn't have to do this," I said with a smile.

"I wanted to see you and make sure you weren't lying about your foot," she replied, sitting next to me.

"Why would I lie?"

"Why wouldn't you?"

"Your cut looks good."

"Don't change the subject."

I reached for her cheek and stroked it, after which I said, "It does look very healed."

She didn't say anything and just kept staring into my eyes. After a bit she said, "Your eyes are really pretty."

I subconsciously said, "Yours too."

My brain was not functioning well at that moment. All I could think about were her lips. She kept glancing at mine too and it did not help at all.

Fuck it.

I leaned in a bit and kissed her.

It was short, but made me feel more things than entire make-out sessions with other people.

"What just happened? Why is my body burning?" Viv said in panic after the kiss.

She grabbed her phone, looked at herself in the front camera, and then said, "What did you have on your lips? Why is my face red?"

"Viv."

"What?" she said, putting her hands all over her face.

I took her hands in mine and said, "Relax, will you? You're just blushing."

"What?"

"That's a normal reaction to a kiss."

"Then why didn't the same happen to you?"

"How do you know what I feel?"

"You felt it too?"

I laughed and said, "Yeah, I did, dumbass."

"AAAWWW. WAS THIS YOUR FIRST KISS, VIVI?" Ems said from a distance.

"WHY AREN'T YOU IN YOUR ROOM?" I yelled at her.

"SORRY, MOM."

"LEAVE BEFORE I GET OVER THERE."

"I HAD TO MAKE SURE THAT THAT KISS HAPPENED. YOU TWO ARE TAKING TOO LONG FOR EVERYTHING."

"GO!!!"

She finally left.

"Sorry about that."

"Sorry for freaking out on you."

"Haha don't worry about it... Was Ems right, though?"

"Umm- yeah."

"Aaawww, CUTE."

"I feel so embarrassed now."

I gave her a hug and said, "There's nothing to be embarrassed about."

She pulled away from the hug and tried to leave.

"Where are you going?"

"I can't do this, sorry."

"Why not?"

"You don't know me, Lisa."

"Then tell me what I need to know."

"I can't."

"We are not in a rush. I can wait until you're ready."

"There's not much time left."

"For what?"

"Everything."

"Viv, can you, please, sit down?"

She did.

"Listen, I know this is all new territory for you and I don't want you to feel overwhelmed or scared. We can take everything slow and just go with the flow. We don't have to be anything official until you are fully ready."

"Really?"

"Of course."

She whispered, "Thank you," and hugged me.
