She left and came back in around 15 minutes.
"Hey, I'm back. How are you feeling?"
"I'm great. Did you find a place?"
"Yeap. And I got in touch with the girls and Joe. He told me to find a place in the direction we were moving instead of going back to our old place because it'd be easier for them to pick us up tomorrow."
"Sounds great! Thank you!"
She smiled as a reply. I've seen her smile quite a lot since yesterday, but it still has the same mesmerizing effect on me.
"Alright, now I'll take our stuff and then come back to take you," she said, gathering up our bags.
"I can walk."
"I know you can... I'll be back soon," she said and left.
A few minutes later she came back and carried me there too.
"You can put me down whenever your back starts hurting," I said, a couple of minutes into our little journey.
"I'm a professional athlete, remember?"
"Your physique doesn't ever let me forget."
"Oh, no."
"Ahahahahaahah. You know I'm right."
"Let's change the subject."
"Alright, boss, if you say so."
Around 10 minutes later we finally arrived.
Viv slowly sat me down in one of our chairs and started setting up the tent. She then got us some firewood and came to sit next to me.
We had some lunch and started playing one of the board games I had brought along.
"Viv, can I ask you something?"
"You can try."
"Do you live alone in your mansion?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Just wondering. I though you might be living with your boyfriend or something."
"Oh, no."
"Girlfriend?"
"Nope. Not really interested."
"In which one?"
"Both," she said laughing.
"Ooohhh, okay."
"Do you have someone?"
"What? Umm... No, I don't."
"Cool," she said smiling.
I smiled back because it was impossible to resist.
