"The reason... I laughed. The real reason... I just... I didn't know what else to do. I was scared, I-I felt like crying, I-I... I make out like I'm so tough and scary, but in reality I'm just a scared little girl. I-I don't hate anyone here..." Koko starts to break down, and Yuki puts a hand on her shoulder.
"I know. I know the facade. I used to be the same way. But... I am glad you don't hate me."
"Of course not. I see a lot of myself in you. W-what's the word again? Fiend?" Yuki smiles fairly normally.
"Friend."
"Yeah, that one..." Koko chuckles, and both of them look down at their papers.
"Monokuma... how...? You're sick..." Yuki's face darkened again.
"Tell me about it. Izumi showed me Sayuri's paper... That was just... awful to read..." Yuki holds her paper out to Koko, who looks shocked.
"I-I don't want to keep secrets from anyone. W-I was thirteen at the time..." Yuki says as Koko holds out her paper too.
"Well, if you're showing me yours... then I might as well..." They exchange it and read each other's secrets.
"Oh...oh jeez... I-I'm sorry..." Koko hands her back her paper.
"Don't be. I didn't care anyways. It wasn't your fault either."
"...So, uh... a-about my paper, uh..." Koko looks down.
"I think it's really cool." Yuki tries to smile genuinely again.
"H-huh?"
"Your Ultimate talent. I think that's really cool. But hey, being someone with 2, I might be biased." Yuki grins slyly.
"That's... uh... thank you..." Koko looks down and Yuki walks over to her.
"Of course." Yuki and Koko both try to smile, failing hilariously.
"It's weird though. Most people who figure out both of my secrets run as fast as they can from me.... Why? Why didn't you?" Yuki looks at her.
"...Because that's not really you. You're not doing that now, are you? Even if you don't regret it, I can still tell you've grown."
"Huh. I guess you're right."
"B-but, uh... there's no point dwelling on the past, tight? Because... because it's the past." Yuki looks down at her feet. "...Is there something interesting about your shoes or something? You're always staring at them." Koko chuckles.
"No, not really..." Yuki smiles sadly.
"Well, I think they're pretty neat."
"Thanks."
"No problem. So, uh... what now?" Koko looks at Yuki, who shrugs.
"I don't know. What would you like to do?"
"I dunno either. I'm... not good at entertaining myself."
"Um... how about target practice? You seemed really good at it when I saw you..." Koko looks at her.
"Y-you saw me? Well, it doesn't really matter... I am the Ultimate... y-you know..." Yuki nods.
"How good are you with hatchets?"
"Hm... I think I'll be pretty good..."
"Well, let's see!" Yuki walks toward the firing range, Koko follows. Yuki flings open the door and steps inside, taking her hatchets from her boots.
"So, uh... did you pay attention in Anatomy? I sure didn't... Where am I supposed to throw to get the best... you know." Yuki hands her one of her hatchets.
"You don't have to aim anywhere as long as you hit the dummy. You really don't have to know every point that kills someone instantly as long as you hit them hard enough." Yuki's face goes a little more insane than normal again. Koko chuckles.
"Hey, killing people may not be part of my job, but I sure know how to do it!" Koko grins.
"You know... you really get me more than anyone here..." Yuki tilts her head to the side.
"H-huh? O-oh, uh... it's nothing." Yuki looks around confused.
"I could've sworn there were practice dummies in here? Do you know if they actually have any?" Yuki continues to look around, and Koko whispers.
"We always have Izumi..." She bursts out laughing, and Yuki laughs.
"Also Miana of course!" Yuki grins.
"So, you tie them down-" Koko bursts into laughter again, falling to the ground, Yuki chuckling as well.
"Alright, alright. We should head back, Yuma's still probably being her worried little self." Yuki walks out. Koko stays where she is for a couple of minutes, thinking to herself. She stands up and walks to Yumas dorm.
"Oh, Yuki! There you are!" Yuma smiles, turning from her conversation with Miana.
"Yuki!" Miana waves, smiling as well.
"Hey you two." Yuki walks closer.
"Yuki, I have a favor to ask." Yuki tilts her head. "I've been looking at the walls, and they're different. I've worked with so many different materials, even made a couple. I have no idea what the actual heck this wall is made of. Do you think you could chip off part of it?" Miana says.
"Yeah, I can try." Miana hugs Yuki, Yuki's face not really changing, getting slightly redder. Yuki prys Miana off of her, and walks back out.
"You two are really close... Yuki doesn't like me bringing that up, but you're fine with it..." Yuma looks at Miana, who smiles.
"Yuki hates showing emotion. She... she's different. It was hard in the beginning, she... didn't like me. I was too energetic, I was too emotional, and she couldn't feel anything. We're close to opposites, and I taught her how to feel. I just... I really like her..." Miana looks down, falling silent.
"You like her... as a friend?" Yuma looks at her. Miana flushes and opens her mouth to say something, but Yuki walks in.
