"...Her secret is that she’s the Ultimate Spy. She couldn’t have killed Miana.” Yuma looks around at everyone's faces.
“Ultimate… Spy?” Naoto turns to look at her, disbelief in his eyes.
“Yep. It’s on my pad if you don't believe me.” Koko nods, completely calm.
“W-what… ARGH! Dammit, I was wrong…” Izumi sighs.
“Well, at least we know her talent now…” Sayuri says softly, Koko dead silent.
“She wouldn't have needed to hit Miana 4 times in the head, she could kill her with one single blow. I’m sorry Koko, it was the only thing to prove your innocence...” Yuma explains.
“...It’s fine.” Koko looks away, slightly embarrassed.
“W-wait! Stop right there!” Izumi holds her hand out to shut everyone up, “Couldn’t Koko’ve just kept hitting her after she died?”
“Why would she do that?” Yuma asks.
“I dunno! She probably had a grudge! Or maybe, she was jealous of Miana? She could’ve had any reason in the world to kill her! She has to be the killer! Every piece of evidence points toward her!” Izumi starts to yell to get her point across again.
“No! That’s wrong!” Yuma shouts louder then Izumi, shutting her up, “We found a piece of pink fabric covered in blood underneath her body! First, Koko doesn’t even like pink, and second, Koko wouldn’t leave behind such vital evidence!”
“Well, what if she was trying to frame someone? Namely, she saw Ayane give her jacket to Yuki, then decided to pin the blame on her! She knows we wouldn’t suspect her just because the fabric is pink!” Izumi wasn’t giving up anytime soon.
“Where would she even get the fabric?”
“Since she’s the Ultimate Spy, she could’ve just swiped some from Yuki’s room! Or, got one of the replacement jackets from Ayanes room!”
“Ayane! Were any of the jackets in your room missi-” Yuma gets cut off.
“That question won’t work kiddos! If one is missing or stolen, I’ll go and restock in the middle of the night! You can’t just count and see!” Monokuma chimes in, grinning his normal, stupid grin.
“Would you just shut up?” Yuma scowls at him.
“Aw… and right after I was gonna give you some incentive… Well, I guess I won’t say it now…” Monokumas robotic body droops down, his eyes dimming slightly.
“Incentive? We don't need any of your stupid incentives, we already got a motive!” Naoto says furiously.
“...Naoto… we should hear him out.” Koko says, also scowling.
“Puhuhuhu~ you want to hear little old me out? Okay then, let me tell you something to, ahem, spice up the trial a bit. The blackened in this case… works for me!”
“Wait… what? Why?” Naoto looks dumbfounded, he stumbles back a bit.
“I thought it’d spice up the game a bit more! All of you bonding and that crap bores me out of my mind, so I had the person who answers to me kill one of two people! And they chose… you guessed it… Miana!” Monokuma laughs sinisterly, everyone aghast.
“So now we need to find the person whose been… whose been selling us out? What are the cam-” Yuma gets stopped.
“Uh uh! No more questions out of you! I’m not answering any more!” Monokuma shushes Yuma.
“...Okay… So, should we find some other thing to look at?” Chinatsu questions.
“Well, let's take Izumi's theory into consideration. We need to look at all sides of this. We haven't discussed the note at all yet, so let's think about that.”
“I-It had to be either Y-Yuki or Koko who wrote it… T-they’re the only two who know Greek…” Yuki flits her harsh gaze onto Sayuri, who shrinks a bit under the pressure.
“I’m not the person who wrote the note.” Koko calmly says, also glaring at Sayuri.
“Then who did?” Nao
“The person who works for Monokuma.” Yuma looks over at Nao, giving her a small smile. Nao tries to smile back, but fails.
“Who is most definitely you, Koko.” Izumi points at Koko, a scowl on her face.
“Why is it me? Because I know Greek? Because I’m the Ultimate Spy?” Koko scowls back, getting even more angry.
“Yes! You’re the only one who could’ve done this-” Izumi gets cut off by Yuma’s loud yelling.
“No! That’s wrong! Koko’s one of the only ones who couldn’t have done this!” Yuma shouts.
“H-huh? W-what are you rambling on about now?” Izumi staggers back a bit.
“Miana was hit in the head 4 times. We’ve established this fact already. If Koko is the Ultimate Spy, then why would she need to hit her 4 times? She could’ve killed her with a single blow!” Yuma gives a smirk at Izumi's dumbfounded face.
“So that takes me off the suspect list. Who else can we eliminate, we were all drunk out of our minds.” Koko asks, making Yuma think for a second.
“Naoto and Chinatsu were together as well… They have pretty airtight alibis… But other than that, I don’t know who else would be innocent.” She finally says after thinking for a bit.
“Well, I did leave Chinatsu alone, but I swear on my life I didn’t leave my room.” Naoto says.
“And I didn’t either…” Chinatsu shyly says.
“I’m sorry. I really do want to believe everyone here… But if you two didn’t stay together, then I can’t say for certain that one of you didn’t commit the crime.” Both of their faces fall, and Yuma looks apologetically at them.
“I-I have a q-question… I don’t know if I just didn’t hear it… or we didn’t go over it…” Sayuri stumbles over her words, a little pink in the face.
“Go ahead! We need questions and contradictions to figure out what happened! We have almost nothing so far!” Yuma smiles at her.
“O-okay… so… i-it’s about the fabric, you know, the one Izumi found…” Sayuri
“Yeah. We can’t tell who put it or left it there, if that's what you’re asking.” Yuma nods.
“H-how do you think it got soaked with blood?” Sayuri glances nervously to the side,
“What do you mean?”
“Izumi found it underneath her body, which normally would give it merit… because if she were killed like Kokojo…”
“I get what you’re trying to say!” Ayane perks up.
“What? Well, what is she trying to say, Ayane?” Ayane turns to Yuma.
“She’s trying to say that the cloth being soaked with blood, almost to the point of being unrecognizable, is extremely weird, and I agree with her. Miana was killed by blunt force trauma in the head, and the way her blood spread around her, it wouldn’t have reached the cloth, her body would’ve been in the way.” Ayane says, surprisingly thoughtful.
“I… I never thought of that…” Yuma stutters out.
“That's probably why Sayuri is bringing it to your attention.” Ayane smiles.
“T-thanks Ayane…” Sayuri smiles a bit at Ayane, who keeps on smiling.
“Alright, could you stop smiling? The reason we’re here is because someone died, and one of us is a traitor and killer.” Koko glares at both of them, Sayuri looking away and Ayane smiling a little less happily.
“We still need to address this issue… Alright, what the hell’s going on here?” Izumi starts to get riled up again.
“Well, the reason why the cloth was bloody…” Yuma pauses to think for a moment, contemplating her options.
“It’s because the cloth touched the blood, in one way or another.”
“But how would that work? Wasn't it torn in a struggle?” Nao’s little voice peeps up from next to Yuma, and Yuma looks down at her. Nao still looks really upset, but she was getting the hang of the trial now.
“That’s what I thought too. But now, I’m not too sure.” Yuma looks around at everyone, everyone’s theories rising up.
