Hey, hows it going guys? I'm good, just a little tired, and hungry, and scared of my friend. She made me read an extremely scary-dirty chapter in the book Dark, here on Wattpad...now I am scarred for life! Anywho, onto the story!!!!

There he was. William was standing on a dock, not moving, just looking out to sea. I wanted to reach out to him more than anything, but something was holding me back. How would he react when he saw that I was a mermaid? I hoped that he would accept me, and still love me, but I couldn't be sure. So I had to talk to Aaron first, see if he could talk to William about me.
After an hour, William turned around, and headed back to the distant village. For three days he did this, not moving for an hour, just standing on the dock, looking out to sea. Not once in those three days did Aaron come with him. I began to worry, and contemplated calling out to William.
Finally, after a week, Aaron came out to William. I swam a little bit closer to shore to hear what they were saying.
"William, this is ridiculous. You can't know that she's going to come back."
"I can," he said stubbornly.
Aaron sighed. "No, you can't. You don't know her mother like I do. She won't let her daughter go a second time. She's going to have her under constant supervision, and most likely keep her locked in her room."
William whirled around. "Just because you lost faith in her Aaron doesn't me I will! Adrienne will come back, and when she does, I am going to be here for her."
"And what if she does come back! What are you going to do then? You can't have a life with her, she's a mermaid again!"
By now they were both yelling.
"I don't care, we'll figure something out!"
"Well good luck to you both William. Unlike you, I am going to remain realistic."
William turned around and stalked down the dock.
Aaron slumped down till he was sitting and dropped his head into his hands.
My heart was breaking. I didn't want them to fight, especially not over me.
"Aaron," I called out softly. "Aaron please don't fight with William."
His head shot up. "Adrienne, is that you?"
I came up until I was leaning against the dock. "Aaron, please don't fight with William. If you're going to-"
My words were cut off by Aaron sweeping me into a hug.
"Adrienne, I thought we'd lost you forever."
I pulled away. "Aaron, are you okay?" Up close, I could see dark circles under his eyes, and he had a sufficent amount of stubble on his face.
He shrugged. "These past couple of weeks have been a bit rough."
"Are you and William fighting a lot?"
"Not really. I've just gotten tired of him coming out here every night, looking for you, instead of taking care of Olivia."
"Olivia's here!?!? Why didn't you say that first!"
"I was worried about you! And I didn't think that it was vital information at the time!"
I shoved myself away from him. "Did you really have such little faith in my coming back to tell William so? Or is it something else? And why didn't you tell me Olivia was here?"
He scowled. "Look Adri, I don't need this right now. I have to go."
"Aaron, wait. Can you please send down William and Olivia. I want to see them."
"Yes, Your Highness," he retorted sarcastically, sweeping into a deep bow.
I stared after him, shocked. Never before had he acted like this. "What is getting into you Aaron?" I wondered to myself.
"Adrienne! Adrienne, you're back!" Two voices came running at me.
I whirled around to see Olivia and William rushing towards me.
"William, Olivia! Thank goodness you're here!"
They slammed to a stop at the edge of the dock. Olivia's mouth dropped open.
"Adrienne, your tail! It's, beautiful!"
"You really think so?"
Olivia nodded urgently. "It's the most amazing thing I've ever seen!"
I giggled in relief. "Oh thank god. I thought that you would hate it and would call me a freak."
"I would never! You are the only friend I've ever had, I wouldn't throw it away because you live in the ocean."
I reached up and gave Olivia the biggest hug. "Thank you,"
She smiled at me. "Of course."
A clearing throat interrupted us. William stood with his arms crossed, staring at us. "I hate to interrupt this little 'girlfriend' fest, but I would like to kiss the woman I love now."
I released Olivia and grabbed William's hand, yanking him down into the water with me. "So sorry Your Highness. Please, allow me repay you, with a kiss."
He smirked. "I think I can allow you to do that."
He leaned in, and our lips met for the first time in weeks.

And that is where I am going to leave you guys! I'm so sorry that it's short, and it ended with a little bit of a cliffhanger, but I'm sick, so I can't really think. I hoped you liked this chapter!!
