The following days were comfortable, safe, and boring. For some unknown reason, I wasn't happy just sitting around doing nothing. I craved adventure, excitement, danger. However, I didn't know how to tell William that I wanted something other then just sitting in the castle.

Speaking of William, he was walking towards me. I was in the library, looking through the stacks of books. Books that I didn't know how to read.

"Erin!" He shouted when he saw me. "How are you? I've been looking all over for you."

"I've been here." I hesitated in choosing what to say next. I wanted to tell William that I was bored, but I didn't know how.

Apparently my emotions were showing on my face, because William broached the subject first. "You aren't happy here are you?"

"It's not that I'm not happy, because I am, but I'm bored. I want some excitement."

He grabbed my hands endearingly. "Whatever you want, I shall provide you with it. If you want exctiment, I shall give it to you."

I smiled. "Thank you William."

The day after my conversation with William, I awoke to a knocking on my door. I climbed out of bed, and opened the door. Standing there was a young girl holidng a box.

"Miss, Prince William sent me to wake you, and to give you these." Opening the box, I saw that there was a pair of britches, riding boots, and a long sleeved white shirt.

I looked at the girl with questions in my eyes. She bowed her head meekly. "I know not what these are for, all I know is that you are to put them on and meet His Highness in the courtyard as soon as possible."

I thanked the girl, and sent her away. Once the clothes were on my body, I exited my room and made my way down to the courtyard where William was waiting for me.

I cleared my throat. William turned his head at the sound of me.

"Hello Erin. I see that you got my gift."

"I did, but why am I wearing these?"

He smiled. "Because I am going to give you your adventure."

He beckoned over a stablehand with two horses in tow. They peered at me, their large eyes warm and welcoming.

I walked over to the tan one and stroked its mane. "She's beautiful. If you don't mind me asking, where exactly are we going?"

William smiled an evil smile. "That is for me to know and for you to find out."

And with that we set off on my adventure.
