A Mermaid's Kiss

Chapter 11

Hey guys!!! I told you that I wasn't going to leave you  that long ever again!! I'm really excited about this chapter because it's the ball!!! Anyone else excited???

I glanced around nervously. From my hiding place behind a plant, I could see everything that was going on. Couples were dancing, women were gossiping behind fluttering fans.

"Erin?" A voice said behind me.

I gave a little scream and whirled around. Behind me was William, looking handsome in a gold and blue suit. I pressed a hand to my chest. "William, you scared me!"

He laughed lightly. "I realized that. What are you doing hiding back here?"

I bit my lip, "I don't know any of the dances that they're doing, so I figured that I would wait here until I knew the one that we practiced."

"Come with me," he said.

William pulled me over to where the musicians were playing. He gestured to the conductor. "Hello there sir. My friend here wishes to waltz, could your wonderful musicians play a waltz?"

The conductor nodded. "Si, it can be done."

"Thank you kind sir."

The music started and William took me into his arms.

After the last of the guests trickled away, I stood on the balcony outside the ballroom. The view of the ocean was beautiful, and the sky sparkled like diamonds.

I sighed in contentment.

"Erin?" Williams voice called out from the ballroom.

"I'm outside," I replied. 

"What are you doing out here? It's freezing." William came over to me and wrapped his arms around me.

"Its not so bad. Plus the view makes up for the cold."

"Stilll, I don't want you to catch a cold."

I looked up at him through my lashes. The first place my eyes landed was his lips. His full, beautiful lips. When my eyes finally met his, my breath caught in my throat. His eyes were full of passion. Passion for ME.

William groaned and spinned me around so that I was facing him, pressed against his chest. He lowered his mouth to mine, and sparks flew.
