Ashling's POV
About two months have gone by since we graduated, and life has just been so fucking amazing. I started working at this fight-club type of place and I've met some really cool people. I'm one of the trainers, and it's really awesome to be able to train people how to fight.
Kaen got signed to this hero agency, along with Del. They'll both be working with some of the big-time heroes and dealing with some real life situations. I was nervous, because I didn't want either of them to get hurt... but I know they're both more than capable of taking care of themselves. Akita didn't want to do much with her affinity, so she's actually going to fashion school— typical Akita. I don't blame her though— the girl's got serious style and knows her shit.
To be honest, we haven't been able to spend that much time together— the four of us, I mean. Kaen and I see each other almost everyday, I don't think I could ever get sick of him. He actually wanted me to come over for dinner tonight, so that's exactly what I'm getting ready for right now.

"I swear, every time you cook me something I'm more amazed by you. That was delicious."
"Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. I love cooking for you."
I smile at him, "So, how has the training been?"
"Eh, I wouldn't call it training. There hasn't been much activity anywhere lately, so we've just been working on some of the other shit that comes with being a hero. It's kind of a drag, to be honest."
"Not for nothing, but I'm glad you haven't had to deal with anything serious. I just don't want you getting hurt."
"Will you stop worrying about me?" He laughs. "I told you, I'm fine. You know I can handle myself and anyone else, too."
"I know, I know... but that's still not going to stop me from worrying."
We decided to watch some TV on his couch for a little bit after dinner, and even though it's nothing spectacular... there's no one else I'd rather be doing this with.
"Hey... so I've been thinking about something."
"Oh, yeah? What's that?"
"Well..." He pauses.
"Kaen, what is it?"
"You're here everyday and you sleep here almost every night, and my closet contains a ton of your stuff. I was just thinking that... wouldn't it be easier if you never had to leave?"
I scrunch my brows, "What are you saying?"
He pulls a key out of his pocket and dangles it in front of my face, "Move in here."
"What?"
"I want you to live here. With me. I want us to live together."
I'm taken aback by his words, "Kaen..."
"The best days are the ones where you're the last thing I see before falling asleep and the first when I wake up. I want everyday to be like that."
I... don't know what to say. I wasn't expecting him to say anything like this. He is right, though. I'm here practically everyday and sleep here all the time. And... I've kind of started to take over his closet.
