Akaashi headed to the roof of a house, to process what had just happened. He didn't know what to do. Part of him saw it as something dangerous, because he never revealed his current state to someone that saw him by accident before, so he didn't know how a person could react. Maybe the priest would spread the word that something was off with him, or even say that he was possessed by the devil or something. But a little part of him also had hope.
"Maybe he could really help me... Maybe it could work this time", he thought.
He kept thinking about those two options, and eventually realised that the first one wasn't that big of a deal. The worst that could happen was that everybody in town knew he wasn't human, in which case all he had to do was leave or just wander around in an invisible form. It would be annoying having to go to another town since he was getting used to this one, but he would eventually be able to start over.
And if the second option failed, he would simply have to continue to exist like he had done all that time.
Akaashi came to the conclusion that it was something worth trying. Maybe he could try just one last time, before giving up completely.
He waited on the roof of a house nearby the church for Bokuto to leave the place. Sunset was beginning to change the colors of the sky when he saw him. He looked tired, not at all like he used to look on a typical day. Akaashi followed him to his house, of course, in his invisible form, and when Bokuto was about to enter, he thought that maybe he could approach him outside, but something stopped him.
Doubt began to fill his head again. "What if it doesn't work? It would be another deception, another reason to feel hopeless. Would I be able to take it this time?", he thought.
In the meantime, Bokuto entered his house, going straight to the kitchen to have something to eat before he could sleep early. Seeing that man took him by surprise. So the man he saw that day was actually him, it wasn't his imagination. And he looked like he knew that he recognized him. Bokuto couldn't stop thinking about this matter all day, questioning his mental sanity. All that worry had drained out his energy, and now he found himself feeling exhausted.
After eating something, Bokuto began to wash the dishes, when someone knocked on his door. That wasn't very common, since everyone just talked to him at the church. He opened the door and saw that young man standing there, looking at him nervously.
Bokuto's eyes widened in surprise. What was he doing here? Has it something to do with what happened earlier?
Before he could think anything else, the man spoke.
"Good afternoon, Father Bokuto. I hope you are doing well", he paused, looking down, his face seemingly worried. "Forgive me if I'm being rude, but I was wondering if we could talk... Alone", the man said, looking back at him.
Bokuto didn't know what to answer. Nobody had wanted to talk to him in his house before.
"Excuse me, mister...?", was all Bokuto could manage to say at the time.
"Akaashi", he answered. "Akaashi Keiji".
"Mister Akaashi, I would be happy to help you with whatever I can, but I actually don't feel very well right now. But please, look for me tomorrow at church and I will listen to you", said Bokuto. Something about that man gave him an odd feeling. For what he could remember, the man was new in town. He must've seen him less than a month before. He didn't know who he was or what he did for a living. He could even be a criminal. So he tried to avoid the man's implied request to enter his house.
"Please, Father. It's an urgent matter. You are the only one who can help me. I'm sorry to intrude and disturb you in your free time, but I really don't know what else to do. Please, let me in", said Akaashi, his emotions overflowing as he spoke.
