Sakura walked over and laid her bed roll out next to Itachi's. Silently she watched Hidan and Kisame argue; it almost reminded her of Naruto and Sai. When Itachi came and set next to her she took the time to heal some of his small wounds that she had left earlier. They were not bad really, but he would be able to travel more easily tomorrow.

"Sakura." Itachi's voice made her look up at him from her work. "Are you certain that you do not desire returning to Konoha, at least until all of this is over?"

She did not respond to him or let him know how much his words ad affected her. He was treating her like they did again. How dare he even suggest such a thing?

"I do not mean to upset you." The Uchiha gently lifted her chin. "I could not stand it if anything were to happen to you, and I do not know if any of us will survive the final battle."

"I will not let you face those odds without me." Sakura told him. "If we survive then we do it together, if we fail then we fall at each other's side."

"Isn't that so fucking sweet?" Hidan piped up earning a glare from Itachi and a slap in the back of the head from Kisame.

"Leave them alone." The large blue man growled.

"It is fine, the conversation is over." Sakura said.

When it was obvious that she meant it the four settled in for the night. Itachi held her close but wondered if letting her go would not have been a better option.
