"Are you alright kid?" Kisame asked the kunoichi once they were again on their way. He knew the confrontation with her former friends had to be tough on her.
"You are the one whose chakra was drained." Sakura pointed out.
"I just wanted to make sure that little reunion didn't shake you up." He told her.
"Why would it?" The kunoichi reached into her cloak and pulled out two pills. "These will help you replenish your chakra."
"I guess that it wouldn't." Kisame sighed as he accepted the soldier pills, even though he knew that once upon a time it would have. "These are horrible."
"They are made for effectiveness, not taste." Sakura replied.
The partners fell back into silence and within a few hours Sakura exchanged a look with Itachi and fell back as he moved forward to resume his position. They were now entering Rice to begin their hunt for the immortal partners.
