Cinder shifts around on my lap mummering something before fall still again.

I shift her weight, pulling her closer to me like a blanket. Her heart beating against my chest.

I chuckle to myself, I love that girl so much. Every time I look at her I feel like I am falling for her all over again.

'Stop it Kai' I scold myself scooting back into my desk, 'You are the Emperor and you have a job to do'. I love my job, being the Emperor and all.....

But spades, I hate the fact that I can't just go outside and take a nice long walk with Cinder, she is my wife over everything. But, alas, I am the Emperor.

And something tells me that Torin would hate the fact that I'm not doing my work.

Torin is being especially annoying today, he is making me do all this work for no reason. The same way he does when I am about to go on a trip or something. I wonder if he has figured out that Cinder is pregnant and he wants me to do all this so I won't be behind when the baby comes. I wouldn't be surprised, Torin is quite intelligent.

Stars, I hope that's not the case though.

The likely hood of him finding that out and doing nothing about it is.....non-existent.

He would also probably get mad at me and I don't need a pregnant Cinder and distrustful Torin on my hands.

"Torin," I groan pushing the intercom button on my desk.

"Yes," His voice crackles back.

"I'm done for the day, I promised Cinder a walk and if I want to go before it gets dark out I have to go now."

There is a long pause and then a sigh, "Okay you're free to go, but give me a few minutes there is one more thing we need to talk about."

"Will it be dark before you are done talking." I say blandly.

"No."

"Okay."

A few seconds later their is a knock on my door.

"Come in, Torin." I yell.

"Okay," He opens the door and walks over to my desk plopping down. He actually looks like he is genuinely trying not to waste my time which I appreciate. "So next we you and Her Majesty are going on a trip to the United Kingdom."

My eyebrows shoot up "We are? What's the occasion?"

"Queen Camille's son is getting married."

I frown, "He's getting married.....someone wants to marry him?"

Torin glares at me, "It's an arranged marriage so the bride doesn't really have a choice."

"Who is she?"

Torin crosses his arms over his chest standing up, "I thought you wanted to get out of the office as soon as you could."

"I know, but who is the bride?"

"Some girl, she's the daughter of the CEO of one of the biggest Wheat companies."

"Oh," Some unlucky girl she is, the prince of the United Kingdoms is one of the most annoying princes I know and I know many. "Well,  that will be all I guess."

He shakes his head, "Have a good rest of your day, Your Majesty."

I nod, "Bye, Torin."

I wait until I am sure that Torin is out the door and far along the hallway because as I have learned, waking up next to Cinder every morning, she can say some....not so clean things.

I rest my hand gently down on her back and start rubbing it.

"Stop," She murmurs pressing her nose into my neck.

"Cinder don't you want to go on that walk you have been talking about for the last few hours?"

She sits up squinting  at me, "You still remember that?"

"Of course," I smiles, pressing a kiss against her frowning lips, "I'm a man of my word."

"I don't want to go on a walk anymore." Cinder pouts.

I peck her again, "So then what do you want to do?"

There is a long moment of silence and then she hops up off of my lap, "I guess I walk sounds good."

I smirk, "I sware Cinder if you change your mind by the time we get to the garden." I shake my head.

"You make it sound like I am not metally stable." Cinder huffs.

I furrow an eyebrow at her.

She throws her arms up in exasperation turning away from me.

. . . . .

"You hear that Kai." Cinder whispers holding her hand up to her ear.

I look around trying to figure out what sound she is talking about. There's a lot going on here, there is the not to far of hum of the market, the buzzing of the bees, the faint sound of the whirring air conditioner, the sound of the air rushing past my ear, the delicate sound of the wind pushing its self through the vibrantly colored flower bushes. But which sound is Cinder talking about?

So I shake my head, wishing I too could just turn of my sound.

"It's the sound of Torin not talking." Cinder closes her eyes and take a deep breath.

I chuckle, "Yeah I here it."

Cinder looks at me holding back a budding smirk, "Uh oh a certain Emperor is mad at his advisor."

"I'm not mad at him." I groan pulling my hair out of my face with my hand.

Cinder collapses on a bench looking at me with a questioning smirk.

"Oh my stars," i walk over to Cinder and sit down next to her, "Why can't we just have a romantic walk?"

Her eyelashes flutter as she turns her head slowly to look at me. "Romantic? If you want to be romantic my dear husband you are doing an awful job."  She shakes her head feigning disappoint.

"Oh yeah?" I wrap my arm around her, drawing her closer to me. "How about now?"

She shrugs, "Getting better."

I press a kiss to her temple and then force myself to look into her eyes and not spontaneously combust from this sheer beauty in front of me.

She shakes her head now grinning, "You're getting more romantic but I think you can do better." She runs her tongue over her top and bottom lip.

"That's not how is works Cinder, you can't just make something romantic it has to become romantic."

She lifts her eyebrow to me putting one leg over the other, "Oh really? That's not what the web says, on the web there are actually step-by-step instructions on how to make a moment romantic."

"So?"

"So," she wiggles her eyebrow at me.

"Stars," I dip my lips to hers stopping to my lips touch hers. Cinder is crazy but here I am kissing her, that girl could get me to do almost anything. I love and trust her enough.

Um.. Yeah that was a very long unwarranted break, sorry about that
