My Ghost Boy

The Globe

Yunlan had his elbow on the table and pinching the bridge of his nose in frustration. After interrogating Zhu Jiu with such extreme torture, still he doesn't admit that he knew anything about the necklace. So where could it possibly be?

"Seemed like Zhu Jiu really got no clue about the necklace! So what should we do next?" Da Qing asked, looking at the surveillance video again to see if he had missed anything at his first viewing.

"Where could it be?" Yunlan frowned and looked at his ghost boy saddened face. "We will find it!" Yunlan gave Shen Wei a smile while reaching out for his hand and patting it in assurance.

This action does not go unnoticed by Da Qing. "Yunlan have you called back to Zhu Hong yet? I think she wants to get back with you."

Shen Wei saddened face instantly replaced with an angry glare at Da Qing that caused the surveillance video to flicker insanely.

Seeing the situation, Yunlan immediately grabbed his ghost boy's hand and quickly left the room. Worried that Shen Wei would loses control and used up his spiritual energy again.

Da Qing was totally bewildered of what had just happened, as he kept on tapping on the monitor to see if it was broken.

Yunlan still holding onto Shen Wei's hand as they walked around the lake park to calm things down. It had been a hectic day and Yunlan needed to clear his mind, so that he could focus on how to find the necklace before something really happens to Shen Wei. If what the mysterious women said is true, he will not take the risk of letting Shen Wei disappear.

Zhao Yunlan looked down at his ghost boy who is happily holding his hand. He laughs at himself to have fallen deeply in love with a 17 years old boy. The feeling were different from his previous relationship. Was he ever in love or is this ghost boy his first? He never seemed to figure that out yet, although in his heart the answer are quite clear.

Shen Wei looked at their hands that are still connected and feeling all giddy inside. He felt like they were like the other sweet couples walking around the lake, hand in hand. Only if he wasn't in his spirit form, then maybe, just maybe they could do a bit more than just hold hands.

"Xiao Wei!" Yunlan called breaking Shen Wei's wild thoughts. "Can you stop using your energy so carelessly?" Yunlan requested squeezing his hand tightly.

Shen Wei blinked his eyes innocently. "I can't control it Ah Lan! Especially when it involves you." Shen Wei started to pout, thinking that he was being scolded by Yunlan.

Suddenly something caught Shen Wei's eyes, it was a tent emitting bright lights by the lake. "What's that place over there?" Shen Wei pointed out and pulled Yunlan's hand to check out the place.

They both entered the tent and first thing that caught their eyes was the bright pearl-like globe, placed at the center. Like an invitation, both started moving towards the globe.

"You both finally came!" a women said from behind, which made them jumped in surprise.

"It's you? What are you?" Yunlan asked the mysterious women while holding Shen Wei protectively.

Shen Wei quickly went and hid behind Yunlan because he was afraid of her strong aura that always seemed to make him feel uneasy.

"Many would try to seek me for help and I made myself not be found. And yet, here I came to seek you, but instead you questioned me." The women laughs as she made her way to the bright globe. "But I'm not surprised as it's in your nature to question others. You could call me Fortune Teller Wang, if that makes you more at ease, Officer Zhao Yunlan." She gazed at Yunlan, finally making her first eye contact.

"So you knew I'm a police officer, what else do you know?" Yunlan asked.

Wang gave him a smirk. "I also know that today is your birthday. Have you made a wish yet Officer?"

Shen Wei finally pops his head from behind Yunlan. "What! Today is your birthday? Why didn't you tell me?!" Shen Wei gave a quick frown and went back to hide behind Yunlan.

Yunlan moved in closer with Wei tagging behind. "Then will my wish come true?" Yunlan asked in serious tone.

"Well it depends on what you wish for. Every wishes comes with a consequence. Are you willing to face the consequences it brings in order to make your wishes come true, Officer?"

Yunlan didn't think much of it, his only wish is to bring his ghost boy back in his body. "I will take all the consequences!" Yunlan replied with firmness and without hesitations.

Wang curved her lips slightly upward. "Then your wish will be granted! Now both of you come here and touch this globe." Wang called.

Shen Wei tugged at Yunlan's shirt from behind, and shook his head signalling Yunlan not to go. "Don't be scare! I'm here with you!" Yunlan took Shen Wei's hand and approaches the globe.

"Both of you now put your hands on the globe. Clear your minds and focus your eyes to the center. Think of nothing but only what you wished for Officer." Wang instructed.

Shen Wei once again looked up at Yunlan and seeing him so determined, Shen Wei follows.

Both did what Wang had instructed them to do. Yunlan thought deeply on his wish as he focused his eyes to the center of the globe. "I wish to find Shen Wei's necklace and bring him back safely in his body." Yunlan wished inwardly.

The globe then glowed even brighter, casting a radiant light as bright as the sun ray that illuminated their souls. Slowly both of their eyes began to droop down until it was fully closed, leaving only their consciousness to travel.

Yunlan and Shen Wei twitches their eyes open, still in dazed at their where about. When finally feeling more clearheaded, they noticed themselves surrounded by a mirror like maze. "What is this place Ah Lan, I'm scared." Shen Wei clutches tightly to Yunlan's arm.

The mirror suddenly reflected fragments of Shen Wei's memories before the accident. It was like watching a film playing at the movie. Yunlan smiled as he watched his ghost boy memories. He was so beautiful, so lively and chirpy, he wanted him to be in that state again soon.

"That's me and my brother!" Shen Wei looked at himself with excitement.

Then a voice was heard from above. "Hurry! You don't have much time. Go find what you are looking for before your consciousness has to be awaken." Wang warned them.

Yunlan immediately holds Shen Wei's hand and hastily searched around the maze looking for the fragment before Shen Wei's accident. Panics can be heard from Yunlan's heartbeat as the clock is ticking.

Finally, Yunlan stopped and stood before a fragment. He sighed in relief that he had found what he's looking for. The place where the necklace is located. Without delay, Yunlan tapped on that piece of fragment.

Once again, a radiant light over took them.

Yunlan jolted awake, still feeling disoriented from what just happened. He looked around and found them still at the lake park, but the tent has disappeared including the mysterious women.

He looked over at the bench and saw his ghost boy sleeping soundly there.

"Xiao Wei! Wake up. We need to go now!" Yunlan shook him lightly. Without waiting for him to be fully awaken, he lifted him up and carried him to the car.
