The Family History- Resolved

"Yunlan has the pearl inside of him!" Xin Ci disclosed.

Before Mr. Shen could get out of his seat in anger, Xin Ci stopped him. "Let me tell you the story first." He proceeded to reveal the story that even Yunlan himself doesn't even know or remember.

YUNLAN AT AGE 8:

Yunlan at age 8, suddenly became gravely ill for a reason unknown. Xin Ci and his wife including his grandfather Sang went to seek medical help from all over the country. But in the end everything were in vain because the doctors still could not find the reason for his sickness.

Until one day, Sang decided to go seek help from a shaman he once loved. "Please save my grandson!" He pleaded to Wang.

Wang and Sang used to be lover, but being the head shaman of her generation she could not fall in love. She had to let go of her love for him and they separated.

"I can help you! But you do know there will be consequences that will follow after, right?" She forewarned him.

Sang nodded his head. "Please just save him, I will agree to anything." He continued to plead.

"Okay bring me to the child!" She finally agreed to help.

At the hospital, Xin Ci was surprised to meet the young lady dressed in white again. "Are you the young lady I met a few years back?" Xin Ci asked, in which Wang respond with a nod. She then approached Yunlan at his bedside and quickly noticed that his light of life had started to dim.

"Father why did you bring her, could she help our Yunlan?" Mrs. Zhao asked with tears of hope in her eyes as she was being consoled by Xin Ci.

"The unfated chance encounter that day really brought forth entangled fate, that both you and I could not avoid." With that she pointed her index finger and touched Yunlan's forehead.

A beam of light started flashing as Wang is brought into Yunlan's realm of consciousness. She saw many memories of him with the same lover in every life time he had lived. Either it be happiness, sweetness, bitterness or sadness. Every life he had made an oath to this person. She then was drawn to his last lifetime which was the root of all causes for his present life.

In Yunlan's Past Life:

He was holding dying Shen Wei in his arms as they were surrounded by the celestial gods. Shen Wei was the Cursed Star of Destruction, while Yunlan is the Crowned Prince of the Sea. They were in a forbidden love that could not be accepted by all realm. They tried eloping with each other, but they could not escape as they were being forced and cornered at the cliff, and in the process Shen Wei were badly injured.

"Ah Lan, leave me!" Shen Wei cried in Yunlan's arms as he knows his life will end soon.

"No! I will not leave you ever." Yunlan also cried while caressing Shen Wei's face lovingly.

Yunlan looked up at the celestial gods with anger. "I, Zhao Yunlan will make an oath in front of the heaven, the earth and the sea. I will use my life's power to revive Shen Wei's into the realm of reincarnation. Whether it's this life, the next or in any life or realm, I will die many times in exchange for his. I will be the light in his darkness, even if darkness consumed me."

With that, he stripped off all his powers as it engulfed within Shen Wei's body. He then picked up Shen Wei in his arms and jumped down to the bottomless sea together. Even when they were sinking into deep darkness, they never let go of each other embraces. They breathed their last breath as drops of tears rolled down their faces. Two drops of tears mingled, one from the cursed star and one from the sea prince. The tears which created itself into the cursed pearl that were hidden inside the clam shell for centuries.

Wang slowly opened her eyes. She looked at the family and gave a sigh. "I have found the origin of his illness."

"What is it and how could we cure him?" Sang walked hastily towards Wang.

"His oath is too heavy for the child. The cursed star of destruction has been born, so his light will be out soon." She told them while looking Yunlan's way.

"Please save our son!" Mrs. Zhao pleaded on her knees, followed by Mr. Zhao. Wang quickly brought both back up on their feet.

Wang rolled her hand into a fist and unleashed a bright light. As she slowly unfolds her hand, the cursed pearl suddenly appeared floating on her palms.

Xin Ci widened his eyes upon seeing a familiar pearl. "Is this the cursed pearl that belonged to Shen Yi, why is it with you?" Xin Ci asked.

Wang chuckled at Xin Ci's question. "If every living things can choose its owner, so why can't an object or an item choose its owner! This cursed pearl were in the wrong hand. I came to obtain this by fate and it had lead me here." She implied.

Wang did not disclose all the details of how she got the cursed pearl, so Xin Ci couldn't quite comprehend what she was implying too. But he was worried for Shen Yi's family.

Wang noticed Xin Ci worries and smiled. "Curse for a curse! Not all curses are bad especially the curse of love. This pearl had created its own purposes. There's no need to worry!" She assured Xin Ci, who had seem to loosen up his tenseness.

"How will this pearl help Yunlan?" Sang asked.

"Put this in his mouth, it will dissipate within his body." Wang instructed and gave it to Sang.

Sang took it from Wang's hand with a sad smile, knowing consequences will follow.

Yunlan after drinking the cursed pearl, he miraculously healed from his illness. But his grandfather health had also started to deteriorate.

Zhao XinCi ended the story and walked towards Shen Yi. "I'm sorry my friend. Even if I did not steal the pearl from you directly, but it is as if I did steal it indirectly. I could not comprehend what the shaman told me at the time. I saved my son life with the cost of your son being in danger." Xin Ci bowed his head to Mr. Shen, asking for forgiveness.

"Dad!" Yunlan also came beside his father and also bowed to Mr. Shen. "Please, it's not my dad fault. If you want to blame, blame me instead." Yunlan pleaded.

"Ah Lan!" Shen Wei ran over to Yunlan and also started begging his dad to forgive the father and son. "Dad!! Please..Dad..." Shen Wei hugged his dad.

"Honey?!" Mrs. Shen called out to her husband which shook him.

Mr. Shen cleared his throat. "I'm also a father Ah Ci! Every father would do anything to save their children. I would've done the same thing if I was in your shoe. I..I forgive you!" As he patted Xin Ci shoulders.

"Thanks Dad!" Shen Wei immediately ran over to hug Yunlan in happiness. "Ah Lan!"

Suddenly a stomach was heard growling, as they looked toward Yezun who holds in his stomach.

"Mom, I'm hungry!" Yezun whined with a pout, making everyone laugh at him.

At the end they all enjoyed a nice family dinner together with warmth and laughter.

"Ah Ci, can you look for Zhu Zhen? I want to know the truth." Mr. Shen requested.

"I will my friend!" Xin Ci replied.
