My Ghost Boy

The Truth

After finding out the details about Shen Wei, both Yunlan and Da Qing made there way to Central Hospital to get more information from Shen Wei's family.

As for ghost boy Shen Wei, he is walking closely behind Yunlan with a pout while covering his mouth with both hands. Yunlan made him do that as he threatened that if Shen Wei dares open his mouth during the questionings, he will surely discard the sunglasses this time.

Shen Wei had no choice because Yunlan was looking serious this.

"He must be from a rich family." Da Qing stated after knowing that Shen Wei is being put in one of the VIP room. Da Qing then knocks on the door.

The door opens revealing a familiar face, who left them all shocked.

Da Qing started rubbing his eyes.

Shen Wei widened his eyes wanting to scream but was still covering his mouth.

Yunlan dropped his jaw. "Shen...Wei?"

"I'm not Shen Wei. I'm his twin brother, Shen Yezun." Yezun corrected Yunlan. "And who are you both?"

Yunlan composed himself and brought out his badge to show Yezun that they are police officers. They knew Shen Wei had a brother from the reports, but didn't know it was a twin.

Yezun looked at the police badge and grabs Yunlan's hand with hopes. "Did you find the robber that harmed my Gege?"

"Can we talk about this inside?" Yunlan asked wanting to see his ghost boy in person. Yezun nods and lead them inside.

There, inside the room, laying on the bed with wires all hooked to his body and gauze wrapped around his head, is the sleeping Shen Wei. Yunlan's heart sank deep seeing his ghost boy in this condition, his legs immediately made it's way closer.

The ghost boy Shen Wei ran over to his sleeping body as he tried to touch himself, only to be repelled back by a strong force that almost sent him flying. With quick reaction, Yunlan immediately caught his ghost boy in his embrace.

Yezun and Da Qing stood there wondering what Yunlan is doing.

"What is he doing?" Yezun asked, strangely looking at Yunlan.

"He's just stretching his arms. He usually has sudden cramps problem. Haha.." Da Qing made up some excuses for his friend whom he also think is acting strange. "Ahem..Yunlan!" Da Qing called.

Yunlan finally realized what he has done and composed himself again. "I'm just stretching!" Yunlan lied with a smile.

"So have you found the people who hurt my Gege?" Yezun asked again as they sat down at the guest lounge inside the room.

"We are getting some leads. So we're here today to get more details from you that might help us with the case." Yunlan replied. Seeing that Yezun had agreed with a slight nod, Yunlan proceeded with his questions, while Da Qing is jotting down notes. "The report said that you were the last person with Shen Wei. Tell me what exactly happened that day, where did you go and why?"

Yezun rolled his eyes up to a corner as he thinks back to the incident.

"That day it was our birthday, so me and my Gege went out to Dragon Mall to shop for each other gifts. We ended up buying each other sunglasses, my Gege's sunglasses is the exact one like yours' officer." as Yezun points to Yunlan's sunglasses.

Yezun continued. "After that we had something to eat and went to use the toilet. My Gege waited for me outside first. And after that I don't know what really happened. I came out and did not see him there, so I searched around only to see a crowd of people surrounding the stairway and paramedics strolling my Gege into the ambulance. It's all my fault!"

Yezun was on the verge of breaking into tears as he kept on blaming himself for leaving his brother alone.

Shen Wei tried to hug his brother to console him, but only to go through him like air.

"It's not your fault, I'm sure your brother doesn't blame you either." Yunlan reassures him, seeing how Shen Wei wanted to hug his brother. "The original police statement said that it might be robbery. What was missing from Shen Wei?" Yunlan asked.

Yezun looked up at Yunlan with a slight hesitant. "His wallet, sunglasses and..and his amber necklace."

Yunlan noticed the hesitations in Yezun's voice especially about the necklace. "You sounded a little hesitant. Is there something I should know?"

Yezun took a deep breath, not sure if he should tell this to Yunlan or not. It might sound a little unbelievable but he decided that he should at least try.

"It might sound crazy to you and you might not believe what I'm about to say! My family is superstitious, and that necklace acts as a talisman for my Gege. Every since he was young, he always get sick and met with unfortunate accidents. My parents brought him to the shaman. She predicted that my Gege will meet with great danger later in his life. She gave my Gege the necklace to wear that acts as a repellent to the danger. But he must wear it on his neck at all times. But now the necklace is missing . I beg you! Please! You must find the robber and retrieve the necklace back to my Gege."

Yunlan is not the type to believe in superstitions, but he had already met with the impossible spirit of Shen Wei, so this cannot be denied. Most importantly he wanted to save his ghost boy.

"I believe you! And I promise to find that necklace to save Shen Wei." Yunlan said as he gaze at his ghost boy who is beside Yezun.  Now looking like a child with his face puckered, ready to cry at any moment.

Da Qing was surprised by Yunlan's statement, he knew his friend is not the type to believe in such things. He would normally snaps at the person saying it already. But he also knew Yunlan was a sucker for pretty faces.

"Thank you Officer!" Yezun felt relieved that Yunlan believed him, though not looking like the type.

"Okay this is it for now then. If I need more information or got information for you. I will contact you later." as he stood up with Da Qing ready to leave, but not before taking another quick look at the sleeping body of Shen Wei.

"Gege, you better wake up soon! You just missed seeing a handsome looking officer. He kept gazing at you and I think he's your type as well." said Yezun while caressing his brother's head.

"Da Qing I want you to get all the surveillance from Dragon Mall. We must find out where Shen Wei went after leaving from the washroon and...." Yunlan didn't get to finish his sentence when someone called out his name.

"Yunlan!" a women voice called out to him.

All turned just to see a pretty women smiling and waving at them, as she made her way towards them with her slender legs, wearing red high heels.

Da Qing smiled. "Your ex-girlfriend is here!"

Yunlan was surprised to see her after so many years since their break up. Yunlan waved and smiled back

"Zhu Hong!"

Ghost boy Shen Wei did not like her at all, he furrowed his brow knowing that she was Yunlan's ex-girlfriend. He glared at her from head to toe, as if looking at his enemy ready for an attack.
