Mark informed Sophie that the next big thing on schedule would be taking place off set to film a soccer scene. Chace's character was the goalie and Phoebe's would play a forward.

Phoebe did one season of soccer before her dad passed. It was the first time and the only time that she  played an organized sport but she loved it. She wanted to play more but knew her mother's schedule wouldn't allow for the practices and games.

Phoebe was nervous about filming the soccer scenes since it had been so long since she played. She was still requiring some assistance with acting but adding a skill like soccer to it now seemed daunting.

While Chace was mindlessly scrolling on his social media feed when he overheard Phoebe ask her uncle if he could help her practice. He turned her down as he simply didn't have the time with him setting up that week's scenes etc. Phoebe asked her mom but she confessed her two left feet and lack of skill to help.

Phoebe hung her head low in defeat when her uncle and mom rejected her request. Seeing Phoebe crushed made Chace's heart ache and stomach hurt. He had grown fond of her and seeing her unhappy made him feel things he hasn't felt in a long time, compassion.

Later after one of their father daughter scenes Chace confessed to Phoebe that he hadn't played soccer since he played in highschool. Chace asked Phoebe if she wouldn't mind helping him practice.

She was elated to "help" Chace. Phoebe and Chace practiced drills for a few days leading up to the shoot. Chace was patient and encouraging as he taught Phoebe. He taught her how to dribble and to pass. When she would inevitably trip and fall over her own feet Chace would pick her up and encourage to try again.

Chace and Phoebe had a natural bond and got along effortlessly. When Phoebe succeeded at a new task Chace jumped up and cheered with genuine enthusiasm. He took pride in her new abilities. Phoebe was smiling and laughing at all of his adoration.

Sophie sat close by in a lawn chair. She could hate Chace but she couldn't deny the view of his muscular thighs in gym shorts. Add making her fisher giggle, geesh it was down right lustful.
Sophie had her reservations about his character but she couldn't deny the fact he was pretty great with Phoebe. She couldn't figure out why it was so difficult for them to get along.

Mark was a wreck all week trying to find a secluded well grassed area to set up the soccer scene. He had tried multiple fields but most fields were being used for the high peak football season currently underway. He had not considered that detail in his preparation for the week.

Sophie hated seeing her brother in such distress so she thought she would call a local to see if they knew any spots that would meet the criteria. Jonathan had the perfect solution and was happy to show Sophie his idea.

He met Sophie and Mark at the trailer in his big pick up truck. Sophie insisted that Mark sit up front as he was quite tall and would not enjoy sitting in the cab of the truck. Jonathan helped hoist Phoebe up into the back as she laughed with glee.

Chace was walking back to his trailer from a run when he caught a glimpse of Sophie's wavy locks bouncing in the wind. He furrowed his eyebrows as he noticed Jonathan grabbing Sophie by the waist and helping hoist her too into the cab of the truck.

Chace had seen this truck  around town before but never met the owner nor did he care to until just now. He obviously knew who Sophie was since he doubted she would let some stranger put their hands on her. The  truck owner couldn't be her husband since the vehicle belonged to a local he theorized. He was determined to get to the bottom of this mystery.  He boldly walked over as Jonathan got in. With the windows down Chace decided now was the time to inquire.

"Hey where y'all going?"

Mark was still not pleased with Chace and simply gestured to Jonathan to get going as he said, "It's something for work."

Before Chace could ask any follow up questions he was greeted with a cloud of dusty road gravel.

Jonathan was the hero. The church had the perfect secluded large grassy field that was exactly what Mark was looking for. Mark had to handle the bureaucratic legal paperwork with the church board members to seal the deal.

While Mark stayed behind Jonathan, Sophie and Phoebe headed to their favorite ice cream shop to celebrate. Pam was working the counter of course and insisted on treating them all to a cone on the house. They spent the rest of the evening sitting around the parlor table playing board games til Mark was ready to be picked up.

Mark's mood was lifted and in good spirits when they arrived back at the trailer. From outside his window Chace saw Mark shake Jonathan's hand and bring him in for a one armed hug. Jonathan reached up in the cab and came out carrying a sleeping Phoebe in his arms as Sophie smiled on assisting him into her trailer. Moments later Jonathan emerged saying goodbye to Sophie. It was like a traffic accident that Chace just couldn't look away. He didn't want to watch but he felt more anxious not knowing where this guy stood with Sophie. To his relief they ended their night with a friendly, short hug and wave goodbye. Chace closed his blinds trying to erase that image of his mind so he could fall asleep for tomorrow's demanding shoot.
