Chapter 2:
It was all quiet after Aunt Alice said that. I looked up at Momma. "Who's the voltri, Mommy?" "Renesmee-" she started. "Bella, just tell her." Daddy cut her off. Momma stared at him for awhile. Then Daddy looked at me. "Renesmee the voltri is like royalty of our kind." Daddy said. "They're the strongest coven there is, dear." Grandpa said. "When there's problem, the voltri steps in and gets rid of it." Grandpa finished. "Why are they coming Alice?" Grandma Esme asked. "Irina saw Bella, Renesmee and Jacob catching snowflakes yesterday." Daddy said. "When she saw Renesmee she thought she was an immortal child." He continued. "But, she's not! She was born not bitten! She grows every single day! Damn it! I wish she would have let me explain!" Momma yelled in frustration. "Bella, calm down." Daddy said. Then he continued, "She went to the voltri and showed Aro Renesmee.." "So, she doesn't like me?" I asked. "Oh, Renesmee.." Momma said hugging me. "She just doesn't understand you." She finished seeing the worried look on my face. "Alice?" Mommy said standing up. Aunt Alice who had just had another vision looked up at mommy questioningly. "Do you know when they'll be coming?" Momma asked her. "Its undecided." Her eyes went blank for a moment. Daddy sighed in relief next to me. "Its not soon. A few months maybe?" She said. "What are they waiting for?! Why don't they come now, so we kick their asses already?!" Uncle Emmett exclaimed. "Emmett," Grandpa started to speak, "We can't fight the voltri. There's no way we could win." "Carlisle, I'm not going to stand there and give up everything I have just like that." Daddy said. "Maybe we could talk to them. Show them what Renesmee really is." Grandpa said. "They aren't coming to talk. Their coming to kill us." Daddy said.
I looked around the room at my family. Jacob was standing in the corner of the room shaking. Momma was deep in thought as was Aunt Alice. Uncle Jasper was looking around at everyone too. His eyes stopped on me. He frowned slightly. He got up and walked away from Aunt Alice for the first time since her first vision and came to me. He picked me up and hugged me. I instantly felt calm. Not nervous or worried at all like I had been a second ago. It was Uncle Jasper. "Everything's going to be fine, kiddo. Don't worry." He said setting me down. I smiled at him and he walked back to Aunt Alice. I examined the rest of my family. Daddy and Grandpa were still talking about the possibilities. Aunt Rosalie was trying to calm Uncle Emmett. Grandma was sitting quietly on the couch next to Grandpa. I stood up quietly and walked over to Jacob. As soon as he saw me, he smiled. "Hey Nessie." He said quietly. I noticed he stopped shaking. "Hi Jake." I smiled. "You know, you still owe me a hunting trip." I said. "That I do. Let's go ask Bella." He took my hand and we walked to Mommy. "Bella, Ness- Renesmee and I would like to go hunting? Can I take her?" He asked. "Ooh! Hunting! Id love to go!" Uncle Emmett said. I looked over to see Uncle Emmett smirking. I giggled. Jacob frowned. "Okay, Jake. Just stay close. And don't let her out of your sight." Jacob nodded. "I wont " We walked outside hand and hand. Uncle Emmett followed behind us. "I thought you were kidding." Jake muttered. Uncle Emmett chuckled. "Nope!" Jake stayed in his human form so I could run and keep up. He let me and Uncle Emmett hunt for awhile. "Hey, Nessie its getting late. We should get going." He said. I nodded. And took his hand. Uncle Emmett went ahead off us. "So Nessie, are you ready for Christmas?" "Yes!! I can't wait to go see Grandpa Charlie!" I squealed. Jake smiled. We talked about Christmas until we got home. I can't believe Christmas is next week! I haven't seen Grandpa Charlie for two weeks and I missed him so much.
"Renesmee!" Daddy called as we walked in. I ran to hug him. He picked me up and hugged me tightly. "I missed you, honey." "I missed you too, Daddy." I yawned. "Tired, sweetie?" Mommy asked. I nodded. "Do you want anything to eat before you go to bed?" "Not really. The hunting trip filled me up." "Okay." Daddy put me down. I'll be over to say goodnight in a minute." Daddy said smiling. "And so will Jacob." He finished. Jacob smirked. "I will." He said. I walked to the cottage with momma. I changed into my pyjamas and mommy tucked me into bed. A few seconds later Jacob and Daddy walked in. Daddy walked to my bed and kissed my forehead. "Goodnight, Renesmee. Daddy loves you." "I love you too, Daddy." I yawned again. Jake walked over and kissed my forehead. "Night, Nessie. Love you." He said quietly. "I love you too, Jake." Daddy and Jacob walked out of the room. Momma went to the bookshelf and grabbed a book. Then, she came and sat down next to me. She read me some poems until I fell asleep. "I love you, Renesmee. Nothing will ever hurt you." She whispered in my ear. As she walked out of the room, I whispered, "I love you, too, Momma."
