Fallen Feels (Modern Zelink AU)

Epilogue 1: Travel.

So this is the Epilogue of this very confusing Story. 

2 years after the killer of Zelda's family was caught.

"I honestly don't know how to do this" 

Link was at a bar with Sheik.

"Come on dude. There is no way she will say no. You two are together for 2 years now. She loves you and you love her."

Link looked down. Sheik is right but he still found himself nervous at the thought of actually asking Zelda to marry him. All these doubts and questions come to his mind when he thinks of it. Usually, he is very confident and self-aware but now? He doesn't know how to act. Sheik tried to help his friend who was overthinking the same question for the 1000 time.

"Seriously Link. She will say yes. The way I see it only three things could potentially happen. First, she says yes and then you will be happy. She says no because she isn't ready yet. Then you just have to give her more time. Or the third, she says no and will never be ready. That, of course, would suck but then she wasn't the one and you can move on."

"Yeah, I don't like the third option."

"Obviously, but I am 100 percent confident it will be the first, otherwise why would you two still be a couple?"

"You're right. I can do this. I need to do this."

"Now you got it."

"Thank you Sheik!"

Link got up and rushed away.

"I'm just the best. How do I do it? Don't know, never been in a relationship and still giving the best advice."

Sheik was praising himself now that Link was gone.

Link at the time was running home and was starting to plan something romantic and special for Zelda so he could propose to her. After some time he came up with something so he called Zelda and told her that he will soon pick her up. She was supposed to pack some clothes in her luggage. Some warm clothes and some colder clothes. A little bit of everything. 

Zelda was surprised by Link's message, she didn't even tell her Captain that she was going to go on vacation but Link seemed to have done it. He of course didn't he wrote a small message to the Captain and he just understood. 

When Link was also done he packed his things and drove towards Zelda's house to pick her up. He arrived and knocked at the door so often until Zelda oüened the door. 

"My Link what is up with you?"

"Can't explain we need to go now!"

"Wha- Why?"

"I told you. We don't have time we need to leave now come on."

Link rushed past her grabbed her luggage placed it in his car. When Zelda got him he speeded away towards the airport. 

Link was driving way too fast, and Zelda grew more and more frustrated with Link's silence.
