Chapter 11: Second Loop (???)

I always wondered how it would feel to truly dance. I do spend ever so much time in a silent void. But, when that wonderful waltz begins to play and I'm free to roam once again, I make sure to spend every moment of it on beat. As soon as the needle begins to scratch that record I'm off to complete my service. Human life is ever so fragile, is it not? With the right kind of blade and the tune of a waltz to guide my way, I can create something quite beautiful. A splashy red flower along the walls of any home. As the record began to play I felt myself unfurl and walk my way gently into my designated area. This one was going to require a little more finesse, I feel. Somethings odd about this one, this is not the first time she's been cut short in her dance through life. Keia, what a fine name for a young lady like herself. Doing my work in a bathroom, however, is not my preferred location, but alas we cannot make these choices. I keep a fine gas in my fingertips that I can use to slow down any room. I have not given it a name, but with just a quick dash of my fingertip, I begin to fill up the room with an invisible gas. What a lovely lady, I would whisper to myself. Really eager to defend her friend.

"Just.. stay there ok?" A voice appeared to echo around the room. It wasn't Keia of course, but that's not the point. I might as well deal with this one now. I clamber my way into the bathroom, and I place a finger against my lips.

Shhhhhh.

With an airy wave of my hand, I silence her, making breathing impossible. I'm sure that with a quick tap of my finger she'll forget I was even there. I gently bend down and I tap her with my fingers, making her memories pour out of her head.

"Keia, was it?" I call out.

Keia was now hiding, and I can hear her thoughts screaming through the stall. Something vulgar, for sure. What a foul mouth Keia's mind had. I, however, feel the energy from these thoughts you see. Something about them makes the waltz so much louder.

"Keia, you're quite the oddity for me, you know that?" I call out, no use in keeping it a secret that I know about her escapades with time. Something was keeping her here, and I was excited by the idea that I could put an end to it. I lightly tap on the stall door to frighten her just a little. "Oh come now, you're not afraid of opening that door are you?" I call out once again, hoping to stir up her mind once more. The waltz was building as I claw my fingers against the side of her stall. "Keia... you can only hide in there for so long" I was having quite the ball at this point. What a wonderful flow of thoughts she was having! I feel a nice sensation in my mouth, one that was of a fruity nature. "It's such a lovely sound, I feel. The one in your head?" I continue, now skipping as I walk around her stall. "I can taste it, actually" I continue. After pausing for a moment, I put my ear up to listen once more. The waltz was calling for me to finish the job. "Oh, Keia! I can put an end to all of the thoughts in your head if you just let me inside..." I say as I look beneath the stall. She was going to save her friend, how sweet! I pull a sharp blade from one of my many pockets and lift it right above where Keia held out her hand and I plunged it deep into her wrist. If she wanted it back she was going to have to fight for it. With a groan of agony from Keia, she slices through her own wrist. That wasn't going to go over well for her... I hear some kind of nonsensical chattering from inside the stall. It was about time to put an end to this, no? "You want to know the funniest part of all of this?" I begin as I crawl over the stall, my legs defying all laws that would hold them as I tap my sharpened claws along the sides of the stall. "The stall was never actually keeping me out." I lunge my way to finishing the dance, but all at once, a sharp pain exploded in my jaw. I nearly cry out but do not give my prey the pleasure of hearing such things. She was to die anyway, right? I take a step back and I allowed her to sob. I hear some more thoughts in her head, but as I slowly open the stall door I notice that she cannot see me. I decide this time around, I shall wait until she bleeds out. A wrist wound like that wasn't going to stop anytime soon. Not with what I stabbed her with of course. It'll bleed until she's dry. I look at her squirming around, and how ugly it is. No sense of rhythm or tune! Disgusting. I was half tempted to just put an end to her there, but it seemed so much better to allow her to die there again. The Waltz begins to come to a close as Keia's body goes limp, and I feel it come to a finish. May I fall back into the void, and wait until that wonderful tune calls me once more.
