Ahsoka knows something is wrong long before Anakin opens his eyes, a frown etched onto his face. He seems almost haunted by something, a look which she didn't notice earlier. "Skyguy?" she probes carefully, finally breaking the unwanted tension.
He jerks as if remembering that she's still there. "What happened?" Ahsoka wonders.
"I had a vision, a vision of something which could have happened, I think," he whispers, shaking his head. He stares at the lightsaber hilt on the ground in front of him, a strange expression on his face. Finally, he looks up at her again. "I'll tell you about it later, okay? First, I need to put my – this lightsaber away." He sounds somewhat distracted, but she supposes that's to be expected if he just had yet another unsettling vision.
"What will you do with it?" Ahsoka asks, gathering the tools scattered about which Anakin had used to build his new lightsaber.
He gives her a speculative look. "It's for my son," he replies slowly. "I saw a vision of my son using it."
"How do you know it's not the future?" She knows that the future is always in motion, but it's not impossible that what Anakin saw is currently something which can happen.
"I won't let it become the future." Anakin's voice is filled with nothing but determination, but beneath it, she thinks she can hear fear. What did he see? As if sensing her thoughts, he glances at her with a sigh. "Don't worry about it right now." He sounds like he's talking to himself as much as he is to her. "Come on, Snips. Let's go put these things away."
They silently rise and begin their walk through the Temple to their apartment. As they get further, Ahsoka is happy to feel Anakin slowly beginning to relax, some of the tension fading from his body. Ever since the debacle on Korriban when Anakin nearly lost himself to Sidious, Ahsoka has been feeling unusually antsy and protective over her master. Instead of trying to deny or shun those feelings, she embraces them, allowing herself to act on them so long as she doesn't go to the extreme. Balance is important in all things.
The apartment is quiet, the energy inside peaceful and comforting. There's a holocron resting on a ledge on the wall, high enough that it almost seems to be on display there. Numerous datapads and other records are laying around from their ongoing research. Anakin moves across the room, his old lightsaber in his hand. He silently puts it on the ledge, near the holocron before surveying the table. After a moment, he extends a hand and calls a datapad to it.
"What are you doing?" queries Ahsoka curiously, leaning against the back of one of the chairs.
Anakin hums quietly, fingers moving over the screen as he looks at the contents. "Just seeing what Dooku is researching right now," he answers with a half-smirk. "Apparently, he found some information about Revan."
Ahsoka's heard the name, but there isn't a lot she knows about him, except that he helped saved the Old Republic from the Sith Empire of that time. "What of him?" she wonders.
"He was a Jedi as I'm sure you know, but it's not as well known that he also became a Sith for a time," Anakin explains. "Revan is one of the few, well-known individuals who was able to balance the Light and Dark Sides of the Force."
That's when Ahsoka finally understands the significance. "Oh, so are we using or following his philosophies or something?"
Anakin shrugs slightly. "Probably. He was very knowledgeable, but the Council has restricted most of the specifics about him. Now that we have access, Dooku is trying to compile a file about his beliefs and ideologies for all those who are interested in our ways."
On the surface it sounds interesting but – "Wait, does that mean that we're going to be spending time writing in-depth treatises about Revan?" True, she had never really given thought to how they would organize the specifics of their new Order, but this is far more complex than she'd imagined.
