Job with Wendy

Third-person P.O.V~

Y/n sat at the bar drinking next to Cana, who was chuckling with red cheeks as she spoke.

Cana:" Oh my god, that's great! Please tell me some more dark humor jokes!"

Y/n grinned before he spoke.

Y/n:" Okay, here's another one."

Y/n quickly took a swig of his drink before he cleared his throat.

Y/n:" How many babies do you need to paint a wall? Depends on how hard you throw them."

Cana chuckled once again before she put her drink down.

Cana:" Okay, that's good but not as good as the other one."

Y/n took one more drink before he heard a voice speak.

Wendy:" Hi um Y/n."

Y/n looked to see the little dragon slayer standing next to the bar holding a paper in her hands.

Y/n:" What is it, kiddo?"

Wendy:" Well, I was wondering if you could go on a job with me."

Y/n:" Sure, what is it?

Wendy handed Y/n the job request as she spoke.

Wendy:" It's just a little delivery job, and I've done these before, but I'm required to have an adult with me because of my age."

Y/n:" I see, but if you don't mind me asking, why did you come to me for this job?"

Wendy:" Well, I usually would ask Erza or Gajeel to come with me on something like this, but they are both busy with jobs, and you seemed available."

Y/n:" Okay, I'll do this with you, but can I finish my drink first?"

Wendy:" Sure! I'll get this all filled out."

Wendy ran off as Y/n quickly chugged down the drink before getting out of his seat and before he went back to his apartment and got his stuff ready for the mission tomorrow.

Y/n P.O.V~

I looked up at the sky as I waited for Wendy outside of the post office to pick up the package we were sent to deliver. Finally, Wendy walked out of the post office wearing a backpack, and her white exceed Carla, I think her name is.

Wendy:" Alright, Y/n, let's go!"

I smiled as I spoke.

Y/n:" Okay."

Wendy and I walked out of the town with Carla right behind us. As we walked for a couple of hours, not really speaking to each other before Wendy broke the silence as she spoke to me.

Wendy:" Hey Y/n, are you a fire dragon slayer like Natsu?"

Y/n:" Well, I mean technically, I'm an archfiend dragon slayer, which is kind of like a fire dragon slayer, but there are some very keen differences between Natsu and I's magic."

Carla:" How so, Y/n?"

Y/n:" Well, one our fire is different. Natsu is stuck controlling normal fire while I control hellfire. Hellfire is a lot hotter than a normal fire, and it will actually burn the souls of people as well as physically burning them. Also, only archfiend dragon slayers can eat hellfire, so Natsu can't eat my fire, but I can eat all types of fire."

Wendy:" I see."

I looked to see that the sun was going down.

Y/n:" It's getting late; we should set up camp for the night."
