I mean, what's an imagines book without a Soulmate AU, am I right?

I was requested by Creambrown1e to write about Simon or Lampwick (as said on the title, I chose Simon) and they let me go nuts with this. So, I took NatalieRiddle17 's request since it wasn't specified on which character should I do theirs😁 anyway, thanks for the requests my dudes!

Enjoy reading!✨

Your POV

I, once, was a problem child who was taken cared by Nanny McPhee along with my older and younger siblings.

She had always been one to get us straighten up and develop our character with her lessons and such. Although we used be such a handful to our parents as well as our former nannies, she managed to stick around up to the point where we've warmed up to her.

Sadly enough, she mustn't stay as we no longer needed her.

Of course, being the unforgettable Nanny she was, there were moments that I've cherished and held dearly. One of them, was when she told us about how our souls have halves that are within another person before we go to bed; soulmates to be precise.

As she stayed with us longer that time, Nanny McPhee would tell us that the younger generation, like us, will have the ability to interact with said soulmates whenever we have to go to bed. She told it to us as if it was a story:

"As you all know, I cannot interfere with the affairs of the heart." She would always begin with this reminder. "But, if it's this legend that will make you go to bed when told, then so be it.

"It is believed that a soul is divided into two: one for a person, and another for the one whom is destined to share the whole with them. Soulmate is the proper term for it. However, not one human being knows who is the person that could possibly be their soulmate.

"The only clue or way to find the such, is through the walls of your rooms." Afterwards, she would point towards what she was talking about before continuing. "When a person turns to the age of 16, a wall in their room will fade into a dark shade of blue as soon as they wake up the next morning.

"Now, this particular wall will let them catch a glimpse of what their soulmate is currently perceiving in their sight that made an imprint on their minds for the day through golden mural paintings."

I used to look forward to such things. I used to count the years I have left before I turn 16. Though now, I feel anything but.

I had just turned 16 last month. The wall on the other side of my room indeed turned blue that I had trouble sleeping from waiting for a picture to be painted by itself. Yet all I see is a tree that looked tall and beautiful.

It hasn't changed since then. Even if it does, it just changes its angle into sun rays seeping through the tree's leaves. The only idea that I could get with it is that this person possibly visits it everyday.

Except for last Sunday. At that day, painting changed into a flying kite by the sea. But, that was just about it.

"Y/N!"

I suddenly jumped up from the chair that was in front of my vanity when my younger sister, Vivian, shouted for my name so loud that it can be heard from outside our house. I realized I was lost in thought while I was brushing my hair.
