Chapter 18

After a few seconds, I finally arrive at the place he brought me to. Oh my gosh, this is where Rose lives! But why would he bring me here? And why are there so many people around here?

"What's up, everybody. Time to put your hands up, do a little dance, yup. Here's the new anthem from Julie and the Phantoms." A young girl says as the crowd goes wild. Huh, she must be a friend of Julie's. Julie walks over and grabs her microphone.

"Thanks for coming, everyone." Julie says with a huge smile. She starts playing the piano and gets ready to sing the first lyrics.

Running from the past
Tripping on the now
What is lost can be found, it's obvious

This song sounds so familiar. And it's just Julie, I don't get how I'm replaced. The boys aren't even around.

All of a sudden, the guys teleport in front of the audience. Oh my gosh, how is that possible?

The crowd goes wild as I just stand there in shock. I remember this song now. I wrote it. I was the writer of this band, along with Luke sometimes. They didn't even give me credit. And Julie took the parts I sang. I understand I was gone for a long time. But this has gone too far. I never felt more invisible and rejected. I then notice Reggie staring at me. He stands there with a shocked and sad face. Before he could do anything else, I shook my head and teleported out. This has been one of the worst days ever. And it won't get better, will it? I arrive back at my room, where Caleb is still at.

"I told you, didn't I?" He asks with a smirk. I stand there in silence with tears coming down. "Now, now." He says as he walks over and wipes the tears off. "We can't have my star upset forever, can we? You're in a new band now, Emma. One that will never forget who you are. And the best part is you will get to stay in this one forever." The best part? More like the worst. "Come on, let's go show this world who the real lead singer is." He offers his hand to go back out on stage.

And unfortunately, with the band I'm in now, I have no choice but to take it.
